Ok, So Blog A Day, Number Legal To Drink - Updates

1.) I got rid of a bunch of the porn sites I follow on Tumblr, and I'm amazed how much more I like it (I started by saying TONS of the porn sites, but it was really like, 3 - TONS sounds like I can't walk past my computer without ripping my underwear off and grabbing whatever oil based product I have within my reach.  It really was just a couple of sites, I swear.  There are still some annoying aspects to it (the pokemon thing?  No, gurl.  No.) but I can ignore them a little more easily when I'm not distracted by the uncut cock of a Corbin Fisher model hitting me in the face.

2.) Speaking of uncut, we received a couple of letters about foreskin after our discussion about it, and the fine folks over at Foul Monkeys even devoted some of a recent episode to us.  We started to bring it up on another episode, but, surprisingly, we were distracted.  At this point, I think it's safe to say that we definitely made some people laugh, but we also hurt a couple of feelings, and to anyone who we may have offended, we are truly sorry.  It's a foreign concept to us (despite FMs wondering how Rodan and I could have lived in Florida so long and not had more experience with them.) and we make fun of things we don't understand.  But we have been schooled on it now, and this will be our final word on it (for the foreseeable future, at least).  Thanks to those of you who wrote in with your stories/education/opinions.  We valued every word you guys wrote.

3.) Lego Batman 3?  Slightly better, the campaign is surprisingly short, and now I am trying to get all the extra stuff.  I was pleasantly surprised at some of the characters you can get, but I'm also frustrated with just how much you have to back track and go around to various planets to pick up stuff.  Especially when those planets are "Super Mario World" style and it's easy to get lost.  Again, if this is the worst problem I have......

4.) Still sick.  It sucks, especially when I didn't get to go to my patient's funeral today.  More on that later.  I will be living it up momentarily when I do a shot of NyQuil and call it a day.

5.) What do we think of this year's Thanksgiving Mix Tape?  I will be posting what my OTHER songs were from my other list, but one 90s song that almost made it was this one.  I was apparently an angry youth in 1992.

6.)Actually, NyQuil sounds really good right now! Night, sluts!

Ok, So Blog A Day Number 20 - Missed Opportunities

So, I just wrote a long post and self esteem and self worth, and it got a little too woe is me, a little too personal, so I deleted it.  So I'll just ask you all who read this: What is your drive for taking care of yourselves?  What helps you to feel as though you are worth your own time and energy?  I need to make some changes in my life, and any help you all could provide would be wonderful.  Thanks!

Ok, So Blog A Day, # 19 - Cough Cough Sniff

So I stayed home today from work due to sickness.  It's something that I rarely do, but I woke up with a feeling of gas shard in my throat and my head felt thick and airy all at the same time.  I called the office, spoke with my supervisor, and went back to bed, waking at 1pm.  Feeling slightly better, I got up, farted around on the computer briefly, then proceeded to play Lego Batman 3 for hours!  I actually beat the main campaign of the game (seemed AWFULLY short) and now I am going through and getting the extra characters and what not to try and complete 100% of the game.

Being off today reminded me of some other sick days I've taken in the past.

Flu shot - late 90's - I had a flu shot for work because it seemed the right thing to do - I was a case manager for an AIDS service organization and did not want to get any of my clients sick.  As a result, I got the flu - I may have been the sickest I have ever been, losing 2+ weeks of work.  It was horrible. I think I may have been living with Rodan at the time, and I remember him coming in to check on me when he got done with work after 2 in the morning and we would talk for a while before he would head back to his room to go to sleep.  Clearly, this was something one can only do in their 20s, when you don't need to sleep like you do now.  If, in my 40s, Rodan came in my room at 1:30 in the morning, I would kill him.  But not before asking how the hell he got in my house.

Chicken Pox - 1982(ish).  I remember hearing about this chicken pox thing going around when I was a kid and thinking it had something to do with soup.  I also know NOW that my mother gathered a group of the neighborhood kids to come to our house once the outbreak started, assuming that all of us would give it to each other.  I was one of the first to contract it.  My mom had said that she could see the little bumps starting one night before bedtime, and I woke up the next morning to my mother saying "WHOA!" when I came to her room.  I remember looking in the mirror and being COVERED with bumps and scabs.  not picking them was hard, but it was easy to distract myself with comic books and game shows I couldn't normally watch during the day (NoWhammiesNoWhammiesNoWhammiesSTOP!).  I remember that on the day that I was finally safe to be outside, my mother took me grocery shopping with her, and that was the first day I ever got to play Pac Man at the Thriftway.  And so, a love's boy of video games begun.....

Side note on the pox story - I only have one scar from chicken pox and it's on my forehead.  My sister  only has one scar and it's ALSO on her forehead in about the same place.

What were some of your favorite sick days stories?

Ok, So blog A Day NĂºmero 18 - I'm writing to you from my deathbed.

Fucking Flu shot.

That is all.

(Oh, did I mention I'm on call tonight?)

But on a more positive note, Lego Batman 3 is getting better.

Ok, So Blog A Day 17 - No Blog Tonight

My favorite patient died today.  I worked with her for almost 3 years.  She was an amazing woman who was loved by her family and the team that cared for her.  I was able to sit with her family after the death and share stories and laugh and pray with them.  It was a beautiful death.

I may talk about this patient in a future post, but I am too emotionally exhausted to say a whole lot tonight.  All I want to do is go to sleep, but Babaloo is making meatloaf, comfort food at its best.  I may also finish editing the Thanksgiving Mix Tape tonight.  It will be released this week for those of you would like to listen to it for your travels to family and friends this weekend.

I feel honored to have been part of this wonderful woman's life.  I was at a funeral yesterday, and the chaplain (a coworker) presiding over the funeral said this, and it's stuck with me for the last day:

"A well lived life does not end tragically, but completely."

Live a well lived life, people.  It's good advice for all of us, myself included.

Ok, So Blog A Day, Number 16 - A Review: Batman Lego 3 (the first few chapters)

I have been very vocal in my love of the Lego games for the PS3 - The first two Batman games, as well as Marvel Super Heroes were fun, yet challenging, with lots of extra easter eggs for comic fans like myself.  The last Batman, in particular, had a pretty good size cast of extra characters you could earn and a replay-ability that made it SO much fun to go back and earn items to help you get around Gotham, earn extra points, move faster, etc.  So, when they announced last year there would be a THIRD Lego Batman game, well, you could see where I would be SUPER stoked!

The game came out on Tuesday, and I got it at Best Buy the day it came out - a rarity for me.  I got home, put it in and began to feel what I can only describe as a disappointment.  The game has it moments, don't get me wrong.  I was also SUPER excited (see what I did there?) to see that there would be 150 playable characters you could earn, some of them kind of obscure (BatCow, anyone?).  The problem with the game is that you start off pretty much trapped in the BatCave for the first few chapters with only Alfred as a character you can jump to.  Eventually, they show a few other members of the Justice League, but getting to PLAY as those characters take a while, and when you DO get to play with them, it feels like there is little to no variety in what they can do, or Batman and Robin obtain special suits within those first few missions that allow them to do just about all of the same things your variables would do.

And THAT'S if you can figure the fucking thing out.  At times, you have to enter this weird "TRON" world as Robin, and the puzzles that first night were so frustrating, I turned the game off because 1.) It was in the best interest of my controller and flat screen, and 2.) Because I was playing it for the first time as everyone else, there was no sense looking online to see what I was doing wrong.  Two days later I found my answer.  The problem is, playing today for a while, it felt like all I was doing was going to YouTube to find answers on how to solve these puzzles.  With Batman and Robin, you have to earn the variable suits needed to complete puzzles.  But if you have Lex Luthor or the Joker - guess what?  You have those suits already, but no one TELLS you that.  I found out by accident after wandering around a mission for 15 minutes and smashing everything in sight.

The voice acting in this so far is disappointing as well - Based on Will Arnett's portrayal of Batman in The Lego Movie, it feels like they have reduced this character to the same asshole that he played in that film.  In Lego Batman 2, there was a level of arrogance, but in this one he's just a jerk.  And Wonder Woman, my favorite character, is very husky voiced and sounds angry all the time (and that's BEFORE she's hit with the Red Lantern beam).

I, of course, will keep playing it.  Babaloo reminded me today (in between my cursing and screaming at the TV), that I get frustrated with all the Lego Games, then I end up loving them.  This one feels different though - it feels like they are giving us tons of toys in the sandbox and none at all at the same time.

Hearing the Wonder Woman theme play when she flies is kind of cool, though - not going to lie.

Ok, So Blog A Day Number Halfway There - The To Do List

Ever feel overwhelmed?  I do, all the time.

Worst part is, most of it is stuff that I can do in probably 5 minutes each.  We are living in a world where most everything is at the touch of a button, and yet, I can't bring myself to go to my credit card's home page to make a payment because of MyVegasSlots (149k today, btw) or because I want to lay in bed and read comic books.  The idea of leaving the house on weekends is less and less appealing to me because of all the driving I do for work. (My territory has doubled in size, as has my caseload).  I feel overwhelmed by piles of things - I HATE piles.  Piles of laundry, piles of paperwork, piles of dishes, piles of magazines, piles of piles.  There are times that I literally walk in circles in my house trying to figure out what I need to work on next, but will be distracted by the next pile of stuff.  We've talked in the past about my anxiety and how I can quickly feel like shutting down, and I am trying not to do that.  It's just that it is easy for me to think about the next 7 weeks of holidays and think to myself, "It's already all planned out.  I can't deviate from obligations."  What has always been my most favorite time of the year almost fills me with.... dread.  That makes me sad to think that.

It is early to think about resolutions/goals/checkpoints for next year, but if there is one thing I would like to work on, it's procrastination.  (and no, I'm not going to wait until next year.)  I have a notebook (given to me last year at Pride48 by the folks at Foul Monkeys) that I use for my To Do list.  I LOVE to do lists, and will often use them as a device for my patients or their caregivers who feel overwhelmed by things.)  To be able to write things down and then feel the satisfaction of crossing them off a list of accomplishments is a small but important exercise in empowerment.  In fact, and I know I'm not the only one who does this, the worst is when you have accomplished something and THINK it's on your To Do list, only to find that it wasn't.  I would be lying if I said I never added something I'd already done and immediately crossed it off.

I know that my To Do list includes silly things I WANT to do, or enjoy doing, because, hey, we need to remember that stuff do.  Many podcasts/tv shows to enjoy or video game goals are on there, because it's a reminder to stop and enjoy the small stuff.  (Again, 150k for MyVegasSlots).  I also make things a bit creative on my To Do list.  I love to try to make patterns out of the colors I highlight completed actions, so they are alternating or, after getting some highlighters during Back To School season, rainbowed on my page.  After all items are completed on both sides of the paper, I get to rip it out of the book.  I know that it probably seems a bit crazy, but if it keeps me motivated, then I'll take any help I can get.

I also want to work on being a person I would want to hang out with. I want to feel as though I'm not living in a rut, driving around all day, coming home, exhausted, watching Hulu, going into the office and wasting time on the computer until bedtime. I want to have a feeling of satisfaction not only with work, but also with my evenings as well.  Babaloo and I went through a phase where we cooked together a while back, trying new recipes, and honestly, I got lazy and let him take over. I would like to be more active.  I just need to kick myself in the ass.  I know that there have been studies with social media saying they do more harm than good as far as self esteem.  Facebook and the like force us to look at our own lives compared to others who may be "living" more interesting lives, going to concerts, parties, vacations.  But, like us, they are only showing the more interesting parts, and are feeling the same way about OUR posts as well.  While it would be nice to be able to show off me making chimichurri sauce, I need to want to do this for me, not for other people to give me likes on my Facebook page.

This post is kind of all over the place, but that's ok.  I'm using today's Blog A Day to clear my head a little bit, take a breath.  And yes, I will be crossing this my To Do list for the day (in Pink).

Ok, So Blog A Day, Numbah 14 - Let's Talk Apps

So, after yesterday's rant about all things Tumblr, I thought some positivity was in order, so I thought that it might be fun to list my top 5 apps I enjoy on my iOS devices.  I use most of the apps I have on my iPhone or iPad, but there are some that are used/enjoyed more than others.

1.) Instagram: (PiMCTaylor)  Instagram was one of the first apps I got after getting my phone, and while I don't post as much as I used to, I am still on there lurking and liking your photos.  I would say that what I like most about it is the happy pictures that people post.  Pretty places, pretty families, pretty dogs!  I would have some pet peeves (memes belong on Tumblr), but even if I don't know you or the people you are in a picture with, your pictures usually make me smile (on the inside).  And, as I said in a video a while back, I will ALWAYS like pictures of your animals. (free)

2.) ComicZeal: It's used once a week (Wednesdays) when all my digital comics get poured into it.  The interface is clean, I can pinch and zoom pictures and there are ways to store your comics in "longboxes" after you're done so that you can read them later.  There are some free golden age comics you can download that , while cheesy as hell, can be a fun free read on a random Saturday afternoon. Android's Comixology would have been on here, but after they changed their policy for iOS devices, making it a royal pain in the ass to buy new content, it's rare that app gets opened anymore.  Shame, too.  (4.99)

3.) MyVegasSlots: As someone who goes to Pride48 in Vegas every year, I heeded the recommendations of the suits and skirts and started playing this slot game to earn points towards REAL rewards, like food and entertainment.  The games are mostly chance, and, like real slots, the more you play, the more you win, but I also find that there are times during the day that just aimlessly hitting that "spin" button to be quite relaxing.  As I said yesterday, I am quickly going to complete my goal for next year's stash of points (150k) and am positive that after I take a break from it, I'll be playing again as it gets closer to next year's event! (free)

4.) PocketCasts - I have to give thanks to Curtis from Game Night Guys for this recommendation.  I HATED the Podcast app for iOS and was thankful that my old iPod was too out of date for the update, so I was able to listen to all my podcasts in the music app.  After my iPod disappeared, I quickly learned that if the app was anywhere near my wifi it would update all my other devices, including my computer, but episodes would disappear and reappear for no reason.  I only have PocketCasts on my new iPod, and it's got a GREAT interface and will upload new episodes automatically when near wifi and delete shows when I've finished with them!  Considering I am home every night, it's nice to not have to forget to sync my iPod with iTunes and not have new content to listen to driving around all day.  Plus adding and finding new shows is easy enough! (3.99)

Honorable Mention: uh, cough cough (1.99)

5.) Rotodoodle: Ah, toys of the 70s.  One of my favorite was Spriograph, and this app allows for the same geometric patterns and colors.  While the interface is a little more mathematical than I would like (unlike this page that was brought to my attention by Sara Davis), it is still very self soothing and can be relaxing after a very busy day.  Pretty pretty colors....... (Free version and a Pro version for 1.99.  I use the free version.)

What are YOUR favorite go to apps?

Ok, So Blog A Day, Number 13 - Too Old For (Parts of) The Internet - The Tumblr and What Not.....

So, yeah, I've been on Tumblr for quite some time.  It started out as a secret live journal place to post about my feelings and a place to "store" instagram photos, and over time, I started to like people's pages/feed and like a fungus, it has grown to where I follow approximately 50 pages. Not necessarily a large number of pages, but enough for me.

And I think I've FINALLY got to the point where I kind of hate it.  It seems there are very few people my age that are creating or sharing content, and when they do, they're is usually a jock strap involved.

Now, I get that Tumblr, started in 2006 as a "microblog" site by someone over a 2 week period when he was between jobs, is great for the young people with their hippity hop and their snoopy dogg dogg.  Pretty much, most people scroll through everyone's feed, they see things they like and they share it to their feed.  I've found myself doing the same thing at times, often something I find humorous.  I've even added comments to feeds with a couple of photos/videos.  It's a great time suck and a way to avoid the world (It was a favorite spot to dip my toe in the weeks prior to my self imposed exile from social media over the summer.  A way to not be introspective, because, hey, EVERYONE loves Broad City gifs, right?)

I can feel myself slipping back into bad habits (only now I'm adding in MyVegasSlots time - Goal is to get to 150k Gold Coins for next year's Pride48, and I'm at 144.5k), and find that Tumblr actually makes me mad sometimes.  It's fast food - tastes great and sweet and salty at first, but almost immediately brings on an upset stomach and bloat.  There are little to no articles on there that have a lot of merit or time put into them (at least not in the ones that I have found)  Just a lot of links to other people's work.  I've also found that most of the people I follow are as follows:

Porn: Yep, Tumblr has porn.  LOTS of it.  And I like looking at naked people, I really do - in particular naked men - It ASTOUNDS me how MUCH porn is on my dashboard, and it's really only from 2 to 3 sites I follow (no, I'm not putting links here.)  And how much of it is on my dash at, like, 7:30 in the morning.  Like, I'll be looking at things on my Mac while waiting for my work laptop to boot up, I'll see there's new content since I started looking, refresh and there will be like 8 enormous cocks staring at me.  I haven't even had an english muffin yet, but I've gotten my daily fill of cock for the day (shut up - you know what I mean.)  I feel that the amount of porn on my dash has begun to actually desensitize me to sex.  These men (and rarely, women), in my feed aren't people.  They're just things.  Wow, that's scary when I read it back to myself.

The A-list Gays/Bears/Cubs: There seems to be a group of people who all seem to post each other's pictures and engage in a circle jerk of attention that is for the rest of us to enjoy.  Many of their pages have thousands of followers, and there is often a creative component to their sites (photography, music, graphic designs)  More power to them! But that's not what everyone comes for.  This group of men know how to tease juuuuust enough to keep everyone percolating!  Most of these guys who I follow have a caption under their most popular posts that goes something like this: "Tummy Tuesday" or "All Fresh And Clean" with a picture of them getting out of the shower showing the top of the pubes covered by a towel and a reflection of their bare ass in the mirror in the back.  These pictures are often my first "encounter" with these people and I've found myself feeling like an asshole waiting for them to eventually show the goods.  But they don't, ever.  So here I sit, the fool, and I'm tired of it.

Children of the 90s: I can say that I have received a crash course in all things Pokemon over the last few years of having my Tumblr page.  Lots of people focusing large posts about all kinds of Pokemon and Yu-Gi-O and Disney Shows from the 90s and youTube videos of 90s toys that all seemed to be EXTREME!!!!!  Lord knows that we sometimes post things about the 80s here on PiMC and make reference to the life and times of Duran Duran or Joanie Loves Chachi on the show every week.  And I'm not faulting the generation after mine (X, in case you haven't figured that out already).  It's great that they have a forum where they can all share memories and what not.  It just makes me feel old and, like the generation before mine, wonder what the hell they see in most 90's children's culture.  I mean...come ON!  We had Masters of The Universe and Bell Biv Devoe!

Girls who just can't*:  Can't what, I don't know.  I see there pictures or links to stories of a human interest style, and the comments underneath it seem to be things like "LITERALLY DYING!!!!"  "Staaaaaahp."  I purposely annoy Taffy and the Huffington girls by announcing sometimes that I'm feeling "ALL THE FEELS!", a stupid catchphrase that I got from someone's dashboard.  There are many more out there, but as a 42 year old man, I look at these posts and think, "You really have no fucking clue how the real world works..." (Again, I am aware I'm probably aged out of Tumblr)  People with no fucking clue brings me to the next stick in my craw.......

The Ill-Informed: I completely get that wherever we get our news from - CNN, Fox, Huffington Report, The Daily Show.  We are being fed biased media.  It's always a "Wag The Dog" world and we tend to not question things because we're too busy or don't care, or we like Anderson Cooper's tie.  The problem is that you have people (and not to get to conspiracy theory-ish, corporations) that put stuff on Tumblr that is, in fact, false.  Like, not even REMOTELY true.  But because these "girls who can't even", they get a nerve hit and immediately repost things without confirming their accuracy.  These seem to be the same people who are offended by anything, and will look at any picture or issue, blame some other part of society for a problem that may not actually be there in the first place.  It's not that there shouldn't be some concern or offense for things that are wrong with the world: I just thank that raging on your Tumblr isn't going to make a whole lot of change in the world, especially when your rage is not valid because you don't have all the facts.  And, to be fair, how much rage can you really have when your next post is a photo of the cast of Full House and you just can't even because Uncle Jesse was SO your first crush.  (But to be fair, John Stamos IS timeless....)

So is Tumblr the worst thing ever?  Of course not - There are parts of Tumblr that I very much enjoy - funny, creative videos and/or memes, comedy, AWESOME Cosplay photos and pages with interests of mine (there are many great pages dedicated to Disney photography and cruises, pugs and comic books) beautiful art and photography.  It's just hard to appreciate the work that goes into a creative post when it's surrounded by cock. And, like, not even well photographed cock.  Grainy cock.  Who wants to look at that?

I just think that, like the old guy at the end of the bar (who, according to Rodan is, like 30.), It's time to leave the late nights and thump thump thump music to the younger kids with their Pokemon, Lana Del Ray and and tattoo sleeves.  I'll be over here with my vitamins, overcooked vegetables and 401k portfolio.

*When I say "girls who just can't", I'm talking about anyone who uses these odd defense mechanisms to show how they feel without saying anything at all.  The majority of the pages I follow who use this or the reposts are from female bloggers.  However, this also applies to gay men and even some straight men.

Ok, So Blog A Day Number 12 A Tale Of Two Canaries

(Warning - nerdspeak about to start in 3...2..)

 So, this was announced today.

Let me say this about it.  I was not a big fan of Caity Lotz when she came on to Arrow last season.  We made fun of her weird pouting and trying to speak all American-ese with her accent.  But by the end of the season, she earned her place on the show.  She looked the part and, her acting improved, the costume made more sense (even using leather strips through the pants to give us the idea of the famous fishnets) and as I have said on the show, it was AWESOME for a fan of the character of Black Canary to see her regularly on a high(ish) rated television show.  We never got the Canary Cry, with the exception of the use of some tech that was pretty brilliant, but that's ok.

Then on the first episode of the current season, this happened.

Now, anyone who knows the history of the character knows that LAUREL Lance is BC, and since she has been on the show since day one, it quickly became clear that the plan was for her to take over for her sister and become the new Canary.  I can see that, I guess.  That's not the problem.

Has anyone WATCHED the actress playing Laurel act?  She's horrible.

You also have to take into consideration a couple of things.  1.)  BC1 was trained for years as a member of the League of Assassins.  Laurel is going to take over for her sister after taking boxing classes from Hot Latino Trainer Guy for a couple of weeks?  Also, that shit wig!  The weird shiny greasy hair look is not strong at all.  I'm assuming that it will 1.) Be changed to look a LITTLE more realistic and/or 2.) look better on TV.

As far as the costume goes, It's ok, I guess.  I like the homages to the classic costume that the first costume had, but the new costume still works in the way that the Arrow's costume works on the show.  And, you know, it could have been a WHOLE lot worse.....

Blair Warner IS Black Canary!

Ok, So Blog A Day, Number 11 - The Five WORST Rides At Walt Disney World

So, a few days ago, I posted what the top 10 rides/attractions are at Walt Disney World, and while it is clear, I love going to visit the parks, there are some children I love more than others.  These five are the things you should REALLY try to avoid (or see once, to show that I'm right) at the various parks.

Again, in no particular order....

The Seas With Nemo And Friends (EPCOT)  This ride shows off the entire Finding Nemo film in approximately 9 and a half minutes.  It is a gateway ride that drops you off in the Seas pavilion with it's enormous aquarium and the ability to "talk" with Crush, the turtle from the film.  It's the Nemo part that's kind of horrible.  First of all, it's been years since the whole ride has worked.  Various pieces of the ride just sort of sit in the dark, barely out of view.  Also, the ride also attempts to boil down key scenes in the film (understandable), but the length of the scenes is often shorter than the ride's speed, so you end up hearing the same lines overlapping the next part of the "show," which then overlaps the next part of the "show," which then.... You get the idea.

The Voyage Of The Little Mermaid (Disney Hollywood Studios).  A show that is SO dated (like most of DHS), with it's black light puppeteering, an Ursula where you can see where the foam tentacles have begun to dry out and rot, and a laser light show that was cutting in edge in 1989, but now, with only two of the four lights that represent you going underwater working (as was the case when Babaloo and I last went over the summer with his niece), it's a show that has definitely lived past it's time.  If you're lucky, you will get an Ariel who can hit all the notes from Part Of Your World.  If you're lucky.  We were, how can I say this politely....not lucky.

Under The Sea - Journey Of The Little Mermaid (Magic Kingdom)  Man, I really have it in for Ariel, don't I?  This attraction is one of the new rides at the park, opening less than 2 years ago in the New Fantasy Land portion of the park.  My complaints about it are that it is BEAUTIFUL outside, with Prince Eric's Castle and Coral Reefs that you walk through....and walk through.....and walk through....to get to the ride.  Similar to The Seas With Nemo (maybe it's just underwater themed rides I hate), the ride takes about 5 minutes and tells the WHOLE Little Mermaid story by song with nothing really tying each of the songs together.  It suddenly ends with the wedding and a painted dead Ursula on the opposing wall.  To say I was disappointed when waiting 90 minutes the first time we rode this only to have this would be an understatement.  I've ridden it a few times since with much less of a wait, and the feeling is still very "meh" when I am done.  But, again, it's really purty to look at from outside.

Swiss Family Treehouse (Magic Kingdom)  Steps?  Outside In Florida In August?  Fuck you.

Dinosaur (Animal Kingdom)  Now, I will be the first to say I will be outvoted on this one by Taffy and Babaloo, but I hate this ride.  The only thing I like about this ride is the queue for it is inside and for some reason, I always remember it as being SUPER cold because of AC.  You ride in some Jeep Grand Cherokee through The Land Before Time (or a version of it - I know that's not owned by Disney.)  Eventually, you come across a T-Rex-But-They-Can't-Call-It-A-T-Rex-Because-Of-Universal's-Jurrasic-Park-Down-The-Street.  It's super dark and super bumpy and the part where the T-Rex thing comes out of the dark and tries to bite your head off and the speaker is in it's mouth and it's super loud?  No, thanks.  Props to the fact that they made it look like the dinosaur runs along side your car for a little while, but I'm usually counting the moments until the fucking ride is over.

Ok, so like with my other post, what are your least favorite rides/attractions at Walt Disney World?

Ok, So Blog A Day, Day 10! I Got Nothing!

Work was nuts today, and I have nothing to give.  Babel suggested writing about writing, and I was going to do an old man rant about social media (it still may happen), but tonight, I'm enjoying listening to Cocktails and Creampuffs 300th episode live on Pride48.  I will be back tomorrow with a rant/post.  Promise!

Ok, So Blog A Day, Number Nine - Infamous: First Light, A Review

So, as I mentioned last week, I finished both the hero and villain sides for Infamous: Second Son for the PS4.  I loved the games so much, I opted to purchase the DLC for the game, First Light.  This game is a prequel of sorts for the game, choosing to focus on Abigail "Fetch" Walker, a Conduit with neon based powers.  She spends much of the game looking for her brother Brent, who has gotten into some bad dealings with Russian drug dealers.  Fetch tells her story to Brook Augustine aka The Big Bad in I:SS.

The game has many of the same mechanics of the it's predecessor.  Walker has many of the same powers Deslin does, with some slight modifications.  The side missions are similar in theory, but there are also races that Fetch must do to gain "lumens," or points she can spend in the store to increase and/or modify her power.  The cut scenes in this are MUCH better in many ways to I:SS, and I LOVED those cutscenes.  It's also pretty easy to build up your orbital drop type power over time - just blast any bad guys you can find.  I think my main problem with the game is it feels very short (about 3-4 hours, not including all the extra stuff, but I did a LOT of the extra stuff.).  The acting is ok, but Fetch's odd New York accent (in Seattle, mind you) is a little off putting at times.  And what is with video games and their use of drugs to tell stories.  Both this game and Batman's Arkham games have segments where the main character has been drugged.  It's frustrating to play (which I suppose is the point), and can feel like filler.

If you loved the Infamous games, I would definitely recommend this.  Also, if you're thinking about getting the Infamous games, and want to try this out first (you don't need the main game to play this one), then I would say it will give you a definite taste of the world of InFamous.  If you thought the games were ok, I would say save your 15 dollars.

Ok, So Blog A Day, Numero Ocho - Godzilla(2014), A Review

So, I'm tied to the house this weekend, as I am on call, so Babaloo and I watched Godzilla for the first time.  One of the first big summer blockbusters, it stars Aaron Taylor Johnson (or is it Johnson Taylor?  Who cares, his shirt never came off) and Ken Wannatabe as a soldier and a scientist who explain every moment of the movie for you because the whole thing is so convoluted, you need narration.  Pretty much, the movie goes like this: Two horny mutant moths travel halfway around the world to get DTF, and only Godzilla can stop them, but not before he and the horny moths destroy big chunks of Japan and San Francisco (with a little bit of Las Vegas thrown in for good measure - one of the lease believable parts of the movie?  The TV on in the casino with the 24 hour news channel on it right over the slot machines.....way to go for realism, guys....JEESH!)

The film is dreadful.  It is dark through just about ANYTHING that involves the monsters, even making sure that the monsters fight under dark clouds when it's the middle of the day.  Godzilla shows up for what feels like MAYBE the last half hour of the film.  The rest of it is the two horny moths (and by the way, we REALLY didn't need to shot of the female moth's sack'o'radioactive marbles from behind.  That was just gratuitous.  The female horny moth community should be outraged.)  Godzilla looked pretty awesome (what we could see of him....her...him...it.)  The angry eyes and furrowed brow gave the creature a emotion.  It seemed like the final battle was the same fight move (the male moth flying up behind Godzilla repeatedly and attacking) happened like 6 times.  And when Mommy moth went after future Quicksilver because she KNEW what he was responsible for...well, it was just ridiculous....  All the actors in this do the Naomi Watts "I'm going to realize something is behind me, make my eyes really big and slowly turn around." move at least once.  Oh, and Bryan Cranston is in this, too.  And future Scarlet Witch, as future Quicksilver's wife...even though they will be brother and sister in the next Avengers movie....ew.)
Can anyone tell me how to get to Ghirardelli?

I would have to say that while it was nice to watch something that involved NO brain cells, this one was not a good film.  Which is why I'm glad that Babaloo can take responsibility for choosing it from Netflix.  But, what the hell do I know, I've still got the Lone Ranger Blu Ray sitting on my coffee table.

Ok, So Post A Day Numbah 7 - Another Question By Trish!

"If finances were not an issue, where in the world would you like to travel?"

Easy!

Europe.  Specifically the following:
Paris
Italy.  All of it.
London.

That's it. There really isn't any sort of reason why, but that would be what I would want to see one day.  I romanticize it in my head (as I'm pretty sure most people do), but I would want to go to Paris in winter and Italy in the summer, and London any time.

I also love the idea of being in an amazing log cabin in the middle of nowhere.  I want electricity.  I want running water.  I want a little store I can get to when I need to for matches, a newspaper and entenmann's chocolate frosted donuts.  And I would bring a bunch of books and a really warm coat so that I could lay on a reclining patio chair and read.

A shorter post today (I'm on call this weekend, so posting may be tough), but thanks for the post idea.  I may expound on this in a later entry!

Ok, So Blog Post A Day Numbah 6 - Top Ten Rides at Walt Disney World (Taylor Edition)

So some guy named Satyr
sent me an email that states he'd like to know what my top ten rides/attractions are at Walt Disney World.  Seems he thinks I've been there a time or two.

I was surprised with how easy I was able to come up with the top ten, but found it harder to rank them, save my number 1 choice.  So, other than number 1, which will be at the end of the list, they will appear in no particular order.

(It's important to note that he asked me to ask Taffy to post HER top ten as well, but I wanted to do mine first.  Hopefully, she'll read this and respond in her own post.)

So, without further ado....

Toy Story Midway Mania (Disney's Hollywood Studios)  One of two rides in the parks that allow for my competitive side to emerge (the other being Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin), the game allows for me to jerk the ball and sting (no really) to throw baseballs at dishes, hoops around aliens and darts at balloons for points.  Considering I've been practicing for this ride since I was about 14, it makes sense that I would enjoy it.  The queue line for this is great (but long) with oversized copies of all sorts of games from the 50s through the 90s

Living With The Land (EPCOT)  A relaxing ride through the types of land we have on the planet that segways into a green house with various vegetables and plants that Disney uses for food prep and ecology.  It's a very relaxing ride that almost never has a long line, and will often inspire me to want to grow something in my backyard.  Granted, that inspiration almost immediately goes away once I SEE my backyard, but still.....

Soarin' (EPCOT)  An IMAX type movie that suspends you and makes you feel like you are hand gliding through California is always a fun couple of minutes with great music and scents being pumped into the fan over your head for a more complete experience.  Oh, and  hot Patrick Warburton instructing you on safety requirements in the beginning doesn't hurt either.....

Rock-N-Roller Coaster (Disney's Hollywood Studios)  A the first of a few roller coasters on this list.  The first take off from 0 to 60 in 2. something seconds always is a rush, and the fact that you are through the first loop before you realize it makes this coaster amazing (That being said, Illyana Douglas' performance in the pre ride show is the (not good) stuff of legends that we have talked about on the show quite a few times. "Hey. Guys....."

Expedition: Everest (Animal Kingdom)  Animal Kingdom's only entry on this list, it is the one coaster that appears to have a story that is IN the ride itself.  I am pretty sure it is also the highest and steepest coaster on property.  If you get in the single rider line for this one, you are almost destined to get on the coaster in a third of the time it takes for the standby line.

The Haunted Mansion (Magic Kingdom)  I love this ride for a few reasons.  1.) It's SO frigging kitschy and has so much of it's "horror" elements based on the 1970's idea of what would scare kids.  The few places where they have updated the technology actually take a way from the ride a little bit - I feel they stand out.  It's also a great place to get out of the heat and into a series of dark cool rooms with Babaloo, where, not gonna lie, we may have made out juuuust a little bit a time or two.

Spaceship Earth (EPCOT) AKA The Big Golf Ball.  As Judi Dench teaches you about the history of the world, you can watch animatronics talk with Roman soldiers, paint the Sistine Chapel, sell you newspapers or look funky in yellow tights with a 1970s computer.  I think that if Taffy and I were on this ride with a gun to our heads, we could recite the entire monologue word for word.  Thank the Phoenicians!  They invented it!

Hall of Presidents (Magic Kingdom)  Now, before you cry foul, technically it is an attraction, and one that I very much enjoy for a couple of reasons.  The Haunted Mansion rule applies here (dark, cool) and after an upgrade a few years ago with President Obama's inauguration, the accompanying film (narrated by Morgan Freeman) is patriotic and inspirational.  I've seen every president's speech in this attraction since Reagan, and propaganda or not, it makes me proud to be American (I do often wonder what non American visitors think of this ride.  Anyone?  Anyone?)

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (Magic Kingdom) A roller coaster that people tend to forget about a little bit because of it's location and "difficulty" to get to, Big Thunder Mountain is quite fast and all over the place.  It's loud and jumpy and fun enough for adults and kids alike.  The clacking noise and forced perspective on some of the drops are fun and add to the light heartedness of the ride.  I also used to enjoy this ride because it was one that Tank and I would often go on when he had an annual pass (Taffy and Babaloo don't care for it).

That's 9, so that brings me to the number one ride......

1.) Space Mountain (Magic Kingdom)  Come ON!  How could it NOT be!?!?  The cheesy late 70s decor, the giant Chocolate Chip Cookies projected on the walls to look like asteroids, the same cheesy 1987 video they show over and over and over again when you first get to the main part of the queue?!?  ("Look, it's Elizabeth Schue."  That joke never gets old.) And most important of all, the ride.  It's pitch black, super fast and always fun - they used to have lights that looked like stars in the ride, but they have been taken away and now you really can't see where you're going - you'll always zig when you think you're going to zag and then hit a drop that you knew was coming (if you've been on it as many times as I have) but you're not exactly sure when.  Space Mountain is a ride that if I could, I would spend all day on (Most times I have done it in a day was 4, I think).

So, what are YOUR top 10 rides!?!?

Ok, So Blog A Day, Numbah Cinco! The Apathy Of Wednesdays (A Rant)

Wednesday used to be one of my favorite days of the week, probably for the last 20 years or so.  Why, do you ask?  Well, Wednesdays have always been Comic Book day around the Latteboy house. Back when I used to go to the comic store, it was nothing for me to go weekly and drop 15 to 30 bucks on various comics and/or trade paperbacks (TPBs) before lunch (yes I was THAT guy who would sit in his car and wait for the store to open) and head someplace where I could eat and read through lunch.  It was tradition and I loved it.  I also loved finding new series in trade formate (The Walking Dead, Runaways, etc.) and laying on the couch and reading a block of stories all at once.  I think I bought the first 10 TPBs of Walking Dead in the course of about a week and a half.  I couldn't get enough.  I've always been a DC boy at heart, and have boxes of old Teen Titans, JLA and various Batman titles in a closet in my dining room to prove it.  I stuck with comics through the horrible mullet and pouches times of the 90's, I bought my die cut and metallic covers, I stayed with books I hated because it was the only place to see Black Canary or Donna Troy.  I did so because I loved the idea that something really cool was just around the bend and that I would receive validation for holding on.

Then a couple of things happened.

1.) In September of 2011, DC Comics cancelled all of their titles.  All of them, including Action and Detective, comics that have been around since the 1930s.  All of the titles started back at number 1, and all of the titles received new creative teams and a new common shared universe.  The majority of the characters received new "updated" costumes from Jim Lee, and all of the stories would be intertwined in some way.  While upset by the cancellation of some long time titles (Action and Detective, just because of the perceived lack of respect it showed), I tried some of the titles, and talked about them on his blog 3+ years ago.  Some of the titles shined (Batman and Wonder Woman, specifically) while others...well, they tried hard enough, but never seemed to have a genuine feel, like they wanted it too hard.  A prime example of that is Geoff Johns' and Jim Lee's Justice League.

Justice League is a title I have TRULY wanted to love.  It should be the company's flagship title.  All of the main characters that are well known in the non comic reading community, fighting together against the biggest villains the company can offer.  There should be drama, there should be action, there should be a reason that you want to root for the team.

Instead we have a group of douchebags that spend all their time grandstanding agains the other ones and arguing.  No one seems to get a long, no one trusts anyone else.  Now, for reasons I don't completely understand, we have Lex Luthor on the team (It's a long story), and the main goal of the JL having him on the team is so that they can find something on him to arrest him with?  The feel of Justice League seems to be that of a group of comic book store employees sitting around after hours in the back of the shop, talking about "Wouldn't it be cool if...."  It seems like there is no rhyme or reason to their thought process.....

But apparently, there is, which is reason number 2 for my nerd annoyance (not rage, which would imply overwhelming anger)

2.) Currently, in the DC universe, they are publishing not one, not two, but THREE weekly titles.  These titles are supposed to be taking place in the past (Batman Eternal) the present (Earth 2: World's End) and the future (The New 52: Futures End).  Some of these stories are intertwined somehow, but the whole thing is so convoluted and, again, when you add in the douchebag factor of some of the main characters, it makes it very difficult to even remotely care enough to figure out when these things are happening.  It also doesn't help that many of the comic book websites are given information by DC TELLING THEM WHAT WILL HAPPEN!  (ooh, there's a little of that nerd rage).  Why bother reading the books if you already know in GREAT detail what will happen?!?!  When you add onto THAT a story by Grant Morrison that is introducing multiple earths and timelines, and a planned event in April that will tie everything together over the course of EIGHTY NINE issues in NINE WEEKS, you can see where I would throw my hands up in the air and just say, "To hell with it."  Alas, the 14 year old comic geek in me is holding out, thinking that if I just stay a liiiiiiitttttle more patient, everything will work itself out.  I'll get back my old Superman with his red underwear on the outside.  I'll get back Donna Troy.  I'll get back a world where Superman and Wonder Woman aren't banging.  I'll get my quality time on the couch back, where I can sit and read through all these books and feel the heroes I loved as a kid are still out there somewhere fighting the bad guys and keeping me safe.

But that's not all!

3.) The iPad.  I read comics on my iPad now.  The idea of finding space for all these books in my little house is overwhelming, and I don't want to throw away something I've paid a couple of bucks for every week.  (I feel guilty enough doing that with magazines, and I only get MAYbe 3 of them a month.  Having all the comics I'm reading in one place is lovely and it helps that I can read them anywhere, in bed or at Starbucks, and not have to lug a pile of the around.  The iPad, however, has been a blessing and a curse.  Because I'm not buying all these comics (I'll admit it), I don't have as much as an emotional dependency on the stories.  It's nothing for me to breeze through a book barely reading the words, just looking through at the pretty pictures. I tend to do that mostly through the books of the Avengers right now. (We get it, Jonathan Hickman, you're clever.  It's Captain America, not quantum fucking physics.)  I find myself annoyed with titles more easily, but I continue reading them because, well, they're "free."  The annoyance I have for these titles often dilutes some of the enjoyment I have for OTHER books and it makes the whole experience kind of.... muddied.  BUT, I will say this - comics I HAVE bought digitally (say, for example, Saga or Fatale) have been a WONDERFUL experience, but that may be because when I'm reading them (or digitally purchased copies of books I read/bought as a child) I am totally focused ON them and that story. And that is not to say all of the books DC puts out are shit.  Their digital first series Sensation Comics and InJustice: Gods Among Us are titles I look forward to each week, and I cannot WAIT for Wonder Woman '77, a series that will be based in the Lynda Carter television series.  But for now, I read comics when I get around to it, not because there is any sort of overwhelming excitement about Wednesdays and what enjoyment I may be getting.  Having comics on the iPad is kind of like going to an all you can eat buffet.  You gorge yourself the first time you go, but in order to avoid a stomach ache, you need to refine your palate and find things that are more more enjoyable the second time around.

Ok, So Blog Post Numbah 4! PiMC Behind The Scenes!

Listner Tricia sent me some great ideas for blog topics, and I'm going to respond to one now!

"Want to share any PiMC behind the scenes details? Do you know what you'll speak about beforehand? How long does it take Taylor to edit the show? How much do you warm up together before turning on the microphones?"

Great question, Tricia!  I guess I start kind of planning the next episode as soon as we are done taping the first one.  First thing I plan is, are we all going to be available.  If one of us knows they are not going to be available due to scheduling/travel/etc., we will often figure if it works to reschedule, find a guest cohost, or tape with just two of us.  If something special (i.e. the upcoming Thanksgiving Mix Tape episode) is coming up, I'll let the other two know.  We will chat a little about stuff that we don't want to talk about on the show (there are SOME things that we like to keep for ourselves), and Taffy and Rodan send me their tracks for me to edit.

On taping: The three of us only tape our own tracks.  We talk on Skype and when we are all three ready to start taping,  I will say "On your mark, get set....GO!"  We all hit record and count to 6.  The reason we all do that is to give me a way to sync up the tracks when I am setting up for editing.  It looks kind of like zipper teeth laying the tracks next to each other.  Editing can be a lengthy process, depending on flubs and conversations in the middle of the show that won't make it in.  I try to take out any pregnant pauses or "ums" that happen.  Rodan often tells stories with lots of pauses in them.  I try to take as many of them out as a I can for time purposes.  I also try to take out when we talk over each other, which happens a LOT.  I listen to both people and keep the one who I feel makes more sense or is more funny.  It's still a comedy show, folks.  Also, I make it a personal goal to have shows be less than an hour whenever possible.  I don't like to go over an hour because I know how I feel when I see one of my favorite shows is 75 minutes.  I listen to a lot of podcasts, and like to get through a few a day driving.  If I see a lengthy show in MY downloads, it sometimes feels like work.  I don't want PiMC to feel like that for anyone else. (And in case anyone reads this who is also a podcaster, yes I listen to your long show, and yes I listen to it on x2.)

After putting music on the beginning and the end of a show, I complete artwork for it and release it on Libsyn.  During the week I am also thinking about what my stories will be and if there is any pop culture news I feel we should talk about.  I do right notes that I refer to while we are taping, but often, as you can tell, we fly off the rails.  When we all begin the show, we start taping right away, but that's more of a fear on my part.  I'm afraid that we will miss something funny, so once I know everyone's microphones are up and ready, we get to taping!  We probably would do well to warm up a little, but I know time is of the essence for Rodan due to work, so I think we all warm up in different ways (Rodan drinks, Taffy bangs Tank or bakes cupcakes, I worry and fret.)

If I am missing something, I'm sure my cohosts will let me know...well, Taffy, anyway.

Ok, So Blog Post Numbah 3! Dinner For Two

So, I spent a lovely day with Taffy and Babaloo all over Florida (You'll hear about that on a future episode of the podcast), but a good chunk of it was spent eating small bites...and a couple of big ones, too).  This got me thinking, there has to be a few people, living or dead, real or not, you would want to have a meal with, get to know, learn about more from their life experience.  And, I think I know who I would want that first dinner to be with.....
As a small gay boy in southern New Jersey, I was OBSESSED with Tina Turner.  The two gay teens next door (there must have been something in the water) LOVED the Private Dancer record, and would play it all the time on their record player and/or cassette deck.  I remember watching the "What's Love Got To Do With It?" video for the first time and thinking that this woman was COMPLETELY different from all the other women on MTV at the time.  She was older, black, soulful and looked like she couldn't give less of a shit what you thought about her.  The video quickly became one of my favorites, but then when her second single came out, it was all over.  I was completely enamored with this power house.

Those of us from a certain time cannot NOT sing along to this song, I am sorry.

I begged for the album for Christmas that year and got the cassette.  "Private Dancer" is a classic album that, in my opinion, holds up to this day.  Yes, some of the synthesizers and backing vocals are dated, but the passion, the rock and roll, the real emotion behind the song.  While I was not a huge fan of her cover of Al Green's "Let's Stay Together," I realize now that I was just emotionally ready at  the age of 11 to appreciate the maturity of that song.  I asked for her autobiogrpahy "I, Tina" for my birthday and read it cover to cover.  (This would PROBABLY be a warning sign for the inevitable  coming out process for my parents years later - proverbial bread crumbs, so to speak.)  The pain and perseverance that she went through, the highs and the lows.... it was something that I couldn't fathom something a person could go through and come back from.

Tina Turner released albums over the next 15 years, some of which I loved ("Break Every Rule") and wasn't thrilled about ("Twenty Four Seven"), but I always have the utmost respect for a person who stays true to herself and does so with grace, beauty, perseverance and soul.  If I could have dinner with Tina Turner, I would want it to be a meal where I could learn about where her strength comes from, what it takes to get back up after being knocked down, and what the fruits of that labor must be like now.

I would like to make this a regular segment on the blog this month, and hope that, while the people I would like to have dinner with won't all be on this level (I can think of one personality off the top of my head that would definitely be a more fun dinner), I hope this makes you think...who would YOU want to have dinner with?  I'd love to know - leave me a comment!

Ok, So Blog A Day Post Numbah 2! Infamous: Second Son - A Review

I love the first two Infamous games for the PS3.  Both games where in a select few games where I have played them all the way through more than once (The only other one is Star Wars: Knights of The Old Republic I and II.)  After we bought our PS4 a couple of weeks ago, we both selected games and, knowing Second Son is a PS4 exclusive, I knew that had to be my first game for my new console.

The game takes place 7 years after the events of Infamous 2, and you play as Delsin Rowe, an Akomish tagger who develops the ability to absorb other "Conduits'" (super humans or mutants) powers.  After his tribe is attacked by a task force assigned to bring in all Conduits, Delsin heads to Seattle to find the leader of the army to obtain her powers and use them to heal the tribe.  Along the way, he develops multiple power sets, starting with the ability to control smoke.  You must make decisions along the way towards the path of a hero or an oppressor. What you decide will encourage the people of Seattle to cheer you on or fear you.  In the end, your decisions take you on two completely different paths from which there can be no turning back.

I enjoyed the game a lot - I will say I liked playing as a hero more than a villain for the story line, but as far as powers and ease of the game, evil is the way to go.  When you're a bad guy, you don't care what you hit, who you hurt, or how you get from point A to point B.  Playing as a hero involves more strategy and trying to find ways to beat the bad guys without hurting passers by or damage property.  When you're a baddie, who gives a shit - just keep throwing those bombs and hope for an Orbital Drop (The super power in the game that you have to earn through defeating baddies.  The endings are completely different for each "path" from satisfying (hero) to disturbing (villain).

What impressed me the most with this game, game play aside, is the talent that went into both the voice acting and model rendering.  Well known video games voice over actors Troy Baker (Delsin) and Travis Willingham (Reggie) have a genuine rapport as brothers in the game - it makes sense that the two are close friends in real life.  The two were used as models for their characters in the game, and the detail in which both characters act in the game is beautifully rendered.  Another standout actor is Karen Austin as Betty.  The PS4 gives realism to these characters' movements, and it is noticed by the player.  Seattle looks amazing as well.  The city doesn't quite have the repetitive feel that Empire City and New Marais had in the other Infamous games.  Lots of people walking around, lots of different sounds  It is easy to allow yourself to become submerged into this game.

Orbital Drop!!!!!

Game play is surprisingly easy, with the ability of the controller to allow you to have multiple options for various powers.  I don't want to give away what the powers are, but I will say there is some slight repetition in the abilities for each power set (one travel, one long ranged, one short ranged, etc).  There are plenty of side missions you can do if you don't want to follow the main (short) storyline, and while fun, they can become slightly repetitive over time.  There is also a couple of very hard boss fights that are frustrating in that you have to REALLY think outside the box to figure out what's going on, when a lot of the battling has been generally easy before it.  (the middle boss battle between on the bridge comes to mind - if you don't know what you're doing, it becomes very easy to want to throw your controller across the living room.)  Lighting in the game can be very difficult to maneuver as well, with lots of sunrises/sets that, while beautiful to look at, can block your field of vision and cause some damage from a D.U.P soldier coming out you with his gun locked and loaded.

If you have a PS4, I would strongly suggest this game.  It's fun, relatively easy and beautiful to look at.  Babaloo watched me play the game on numerous occasions.  Give it a try.

PS.. Yes, I will be playing First Light, the downloadable content for this game.  But that's a post for another day.
