Ok, So Hello Possums!!!

Tonight, the Babaloo, along with our friend Katie, went and saw Dame Edna at Ruth Eckerd Hall. The Tickets, a Christmas gift from The Widow Carlisle, could not have been better - SECOND ROW CENTER! We went to the show with some hesitation, and having seen the parking lot, filled with its sea of Grand Marquis and Oldsmobiles, we feared our age would bring down the average in the house to about 82.
Boy, were we wrong. It was a sea of gray hairs and gay boys (and two big lesbians who sat pretty much in Babaloo's lap all night.) Dame Edna was HYSTERICAL and handled a bitchy queen in front of us with a camera with a lot of tact and class. All in all, a great night. Thank you, WC, wherever you are!

Ok so...a weekend of glutany...

This is one cupcake.
I ate three over the course of the weekend.
I realize this was stupid.

Stupid like a fox.

Ok, So A Blog That Will Make Taffy's Head Explode....

Ok, So I Laugh Every Time.....

Lip Synching, Hurrah!

Ok, So Apparently, I'm Taffy Now....

It's 8:30 Sunday morning, and I have gotten about six things done off of my To-Do list....When did I become this person who gets up and actually does shit on a Sunday morning?

PiMC: Episode 97: He's Got The Joy (Behar) Down In His Heart, or My Back Door Was At His Front Door

Yeah, Rodan's still a whore....and apparently he's a whore in Minneapolis. Our apologies to those of you with grey pubic hair. Another episode of "The Mind Of The Adolescent Male," And Taylor looks at Taffy's boobies and talks about college hoops - WTF?

Be sure to download our video episode from earlier this week, and leave us an email with a question for episode 100...coming in just a few weeks!

Ok, So See Ya, O at Home!

So, I go to the Barnes and Noble the other day at lunch to pick up the latest copy of O at Home. While not a huge fan of Oprah, or the flagship O magazine, I have always enjoyed O at home for the articles and the fact that quite a few times, we see the work of one Mr. Nate Berkus, who makes my heart go pitter pat. Anywho, I walked into the old BnN, looked through the Home and Living section of the periodicals....no O@H.

Hm.

So I go up to the counter (with a Real Simple magazine in its place....I actually kinda liked it.), and ask the employee, "Yo, what's up with no O at Home?" She looked it up on her computer and said they never got the new issue in, and wondered if they stopped creating it. So, I just did a little research and found that the Mighty O has, indeed, killed the staff of O at Home and is using their blood to infuse their creativity with hers.

Kidding. The stuff in O@H will be folded into O Magazine, which, truth be told, I have no interest in. So, I just saved 3.99 or 4.99 or however much it was per quarter. Yay me.

This isn't the last cover to the magazine, but I picked it because apparently Nate knocks on my door. If by door they mean ass, then I say, "Knock away!"

Ok, So When We Do The Inevitable Top Songs Episode of PiMC

...this one would have to be a contender...

Ok, So I LOVE That This Song Was Played In The First 24 Hours Of MTV'S Existence....

I also love that, according to the playlist that MTV.com has posted, that apparently a song by Carly Simon was followed by a song by Iron Maiden. Of course it was.

Ok, So I Would Send Who What?!?!

I found this on a friend of a friend's myspace page. This is taken from my college's school newspaper during the time that I went there. I kinda remember this, so it would have been around 1991-2.

Wow...

People are stupid.

Ok, So I Know I Said I Was Only Going To Get The One Black Canary Figure.....

...but THIS is a beautiful figurine of my favorite Super Heroine taken directly from the cover of a Justice League issue a few years ago....It will be out on November 25, right before my birthday.

Hint, hint.

Ok, So In A Word.....

Ok so...Tara is my new hero...for real.

She is the one on the left. She is an AMAZING competitor, she has been my favorite since day one and last night sealed the deal.
I will find the youtube post and try and post it later.  For those of you who watch...you know what I am talking about. For those of you who don't... well... you missed the greatest moment of determination on TV.

Ok so...Ken always wanted to eat her, now you can too!

French pastry chef Jean-Michel Raynaud unveils a life-sized Barbie chocolate mud cake in Sydney Harbour, Australia, March 9.

Featuring gold icing, silk and 2,000 Swarovski crystals, the cake is based on the design for toymaker Mattel's limited edition 50th Anniversary Barbie Doll.

Now...I made a barbie cake for Lollipop's 6th birthday... some thing tells me the one above was a touch more difficult.

Ok so, Just please watch and listen...I can't take it...

Ok so...with weather like this...

Today it is about 70* and overcast (hurray) so the logical thing to do was come home and bake a BLACKBERRY COBBLER!!!!!
I, being from up north, where the blackberries grow like weeds, love a good blackberry anything. So cobbler just seemed to work today.

4 cups fresh blackberries or raspberries
   1 cup sugar
   1 Tablespoon cornstarch
     1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
    1 cup all-purpose flour
    2 teaspoons baking powder
      1/2 teaspoon salt
     1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup butter or margarine -- melted
    1 egg
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Spread blackberries in ungreased 2 qt casserole. Reserve 1 teaspoon of the sugar. Mix remaining sugar, the cornstarch and lemon juice. Drizzle cornstarch mixture over blackberries; stir gently. Mix flour, baking powder and salt in medium bowl. Stir in milk, margarine and egg. Spread batter evenly over blackberries, sealing edge. Sprinkle with reserved sugar Bake 30-35 minutes or until topping is golden brown . Let stand 10 minutes before serving.

Ok so...Shannon's Trip

Taj Mahal 060

http://alittleadrift.com/

Shannon is one of our listeners, that Taylor and I met at Starbucks, she is an amazing young women that we have mentioned on our show before.
She is 25 and is fulfilling her life goal of back-packing around the world. She has an amazing blog, with tons of pictures (and now video) that we highly encourage you to check out. Leave her a well wish or two, and let her know you heard about her from us!

Ok, So This Video Looks Like Some Sort of Photo Challenge On America's Next Top Model

Who the hell knew that The Pussycat Dolls did a version of Jai Ho!, the song that won the Oscar this year for best song.
The Oscar.
That being said, 1.) Nicole Scherzinger (DIDSOMONESAYMYNAME?) is georgeous, and 2.)I kinda like this song

Saturday, March 21, 2009

Ok. So Taffy, I Watched It....

Yeah, I'm in - will be setting the DVR to tape future episodes. Is anyone else watching Head Cases on Starz?

Ok, So Jumping On The GL Band Wagon....

So, for Babaloo's birthday, I got him the first three Green Lantern trade paperbacks, per his request. (Actually, he just said he wanted to start reading GL, so I thought they would make a good gift. He was pleased with my decision.) Anywho, I just finished reading them myself and have to say I very much enjoyed them. With the exception of one story (the Star Sapphire story at the end of the third trade), I though they were really well written and kept you on the end of your nerd seat. I'm looking forward to the Sinestro Corp Trades coming out soon.

Anyone else reading and or enjoying these?

Ok, So Brad Pitt On Blu-Ray

The Babaloo and I watched Burn After Reading the other night....good movie.
Brad Pitt? Yeah, he looks about 60 on blu-ray. Ok, so maybe not 60, but for someone that was playing a personal trainer, he looked really old and tired looking....like, distractingly so.

I can only imagine what I would look like in blu-ray. ((shudder.))

Ok, So Taylor The Rain Man

So, for the first time ever in my life, I am doing one of these March Madness brackets. I am "competing" against other folks in my office, and apparently, people at my boss' husband's work, as they are the ones who are organizing the whole thing. I filled it out the other day and turned it in to her, and today, I started seeing how I did.

Holy crap.

Out of the 14 games played today, I picked the right team 12 out of 14 times! I have no idea how I did it, but I find myself going to the NCAA website now every few hours, highlighter in hand, checking to see how "my teams" did.

I'll let you all know how I did tomorrow after the first round of games is completely over.

I'm so fucking butch I can't stand myself sometimes.

Now ask me if I've watched a game yet :)

Thursday, March 19, 2009

Ok, So How Fucking Cute Is This?!?

Ok so...The cutest thing is the tongue !

After a little walk to the local Starbucks...my lady needs a beverage.

Ok, So I'm Making Kevin and Michael Proud (aka Geek Alert)

Taffy, go do something for a minute.

I bought my first action figure today in almost 25 years, and the first one from DC Direct. It's a Black Canary, circa Justice League International era. I know most people hated this costume, but I always liked it. I have never been much of an action figure guy, but I knew that this particular costume would probably never be made into an action figure again, and heck, one or two action figures isn't all that bad, is it? I would just like for her to have ears, I guess.

Oh, and to compare the action figure to the original costume, I found this art from Justice League #5. It also happens to be one part of one my favorite comic scenes of all time.
Ok, Taffy, you can come back in now...

Ok so...Two great tastes that...What the hell??

The Stuffalo

I give you the Buffalo chicken stuffed Pizza Crust!!!!
Or...Taylor's wet dream...
Or...Heart attack hurray!

Ok so...Taylor, add this to your Amazon List immediately!

The Gay Uncle's Guide to Parenting: Candid Counsel from the Depths of the Daycare Trenches

Ok so... the story makes me sad...the picture made me laugh.

I am not sure how I feel today.
Today I found out that my Senior highschool/ Freshman college boyfriend (of over a year) has died.

To give you some insight into why I dated him for as long as I did...on his walls in his dorm, A poster of Roo, the baby Kangaroo from Winnie the Poo...and a poster of Samantha Fox. A guy who likes baby cartoon characters and whorish fake british singers...Come On!!!!

He is also the guy who saved me from his truck when we drove off a bridge in to the Little Miami River. Trapped upside down, face full of water, he cut me loose from the seatbelt and jerked me out the door.

He is also so the second guy I...you know.

When we broke up, he threw his class ring so hard against a wall, it shattered the center stone...
I hadn't talked to him in over 15 years. So I am not sure why it hit me so hard.

Ok, So While Taffy Was Making Her Corn Beef Brisket....

I was making Sweet Potato baked "Fries" from my Barefoot Contessa cookbook.

Holy fuck, they were good...they would have been better if I had cut them up just a liiiiiiittle smaller, so they could have been crispier, but still, HIGHLY recommended to all fans of cooking....and by all fans, I mean Kevin, who I was discussing all things Ina with the other night at dinner....

(oh, and this picture is from the book - next time I make them, I'll post a picture.)

Ok so...My first Corn-beef Brisket

Soooooooo...I have never felt the need to make my own corn beef until this year.  I love that the whole house smells of brown sugar and cloves and mustard seed...

YUMMMMMMMM!!!!!!

Ok so...Be careful...Be Irish...Get Drunk!

Truth...

Ok, So The Article Should End With....."and illiterates."

"SciFi Channel will change its name to Syfy Channel on July 7th, when it launches the new series Warehouse 13, according to TV Week. The network believes that the new name more accurately reflects content on the channel, which is broader than traditional science fiction. Warehouse 13, about a secret government facility where mysterious relics are stored, exemplifies this broader content.

The new name may make it easier to attract audiences not traditionally attracted to science fiction, particularly female viewers."

PiMC: Episode 96 - He's Fingering Taylor, What's The Difference?, or Baby Fresh and Smells of Rain Bath

Ok, So You Know It's Bad...

...When the freaking coming attraction for next week's ER has me in tears. They're going to show that fucking wall with the name plates agan..... I've already informed Babaloo that the night of the series finale, I am going to be a mess.....

Tonight's episode was good, but a little frustrating...didn't you want the one group of people to realize who they were helping in Chicago? (trying to not spoil it for those of you who haven't seen it.)

Wednesday, March 11, 2009

Ok, So Let's Talk About Sex, Ba-bee!

A big thank you to Joe in Dallas for sending a copy of Salt-n-Pepa's "Black's Magic" via digital download! I'm listening to it now, and let me say that this copy comes from an LP, so not only is it old school hip-hop, but the record scratching makes it sound very old school. (because, you know when you think Yo! Raps, the mind goes, KRS-One, Fab Five Freddy, 3rd Bass...THEN Taylor The Latte Boy. Yo yo yo.)

Ok, So To Say I'm Speechless.....

I seriously sat here with my mouth open, shocked. Is this shit for real?

Ok, So Apparently, Bjorn Doesn't Want Me To Have Money....

Babaloo's birthday is this Saturday (go over to his website, Babaloo 4 U, and wish him a happy one, won't you?) and Bjorn sent me this as a possible gift idea.....

He's going to freaking lose his mind when he sees this picture...

Ok, So Just How Small Are They Going To Make These Things?

The new iPod shuffle was announced today. These things really are going to be as small as grains of rice on day....

I don't get the whole need to have your iPod talk to you, either. Anyway, here is the website - check them out and watch the tutorial video here.

Ok, So Right Up Taffy's Alley (Honk)

Taffy did tell me that Tank WAS looking for a big vacation this year, what with this being Lollipop's last summer home before college....
LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) – A new series that combines the family road trip with a reality competition is getting the green light from NBC.
On "Great American Road Trip," seven families will drive cross-country to such popular destinations as the Grand Canyon and the Washington Monument. Against the iconic backdrops, contestants will compete in challenges that will eliminate one family at time.
NBC plans eight one-hour episodes that will premiere in the summer alongside returning reality shows like "America's Got Talent."

Tuesday, March 10, 2009

Ok, So Podismycopilot.com will be around until at least....

I paid for two more years of domain registry chewy goodness! Yay! Now if I can just get rid of that one cohost....

.....

Crap, this mic is still on, isn't it? Shit.

Ok, So Catching Up To Say Goodbye

I just watched the episode from February 5...the one with the old doctor with dementia? And I am still 4 behind! Supposedly, that was supposed to be the final episode before the network asked for a few more.

Damn you, NBC...can I not sit and watch this show without crying like a little girl, I ask you?

Ok, So Another PiMC Milestone....Wait, I Take That Back, TWO Milestones!

Thank you all for over 75,000 downloads of our show. PiMC is nothing if not for it's loyal listeners! You guys rock!

Oh, two years ago tomorrow, March 11, Three little podcasters recorded a show and had no idea what they were doing? The name of that show? PiMC: Episode 1 - John Stamos Is Timeless. If you haven't listened to that show before, it's...well, it's quite interesting.

Thank you to Taffy and Rodan (and all the other guest cohosts over the years - see, I can say that now - we're officially plural!) for two years of a lot of fun, a lot of laughs, and a couple of times where I wanted to slap the shit out of both of them. (And let's see if anyone knows where THAT was paraphrased from!)

Thank you to all of you. It's been, and continues to be, an amazing ride
