Ok so, Foxxy Babaloo!

Ok so tonight Tank and I took Babaloo out for a night on the town (you know...that whole"when the cat's away" thing)
So we ended up at The place where FOX is set up for The superbowl. Apparently they had taken over the Grande Ball room as their VIP reception area!
FABULOUS!

Ok so...The eagle has landed

The Caffeinated one has officially landed (after several delays) back home, in time for his Grandfather's 80th birthday.
Apparently he had to battle stupid people...horrible weather and the usual flight nightmares.

But we at PIMC are happy to inform you that he has arrived safely!snow-covered commercial plane with the jetway attached

Ok so...An Tank in a medium Tee

Mr. Tank Huffington, ladies and gentlemen...in a Men's MEDIUM Tee shirt...
Heavy sigh.....

Dreamy!

Ok, So It's Worth The Brain Cells That Die When You Watch It....

Ok, So 1994 Called and It Wants It's "Great" Ideas Back.....

Anyone else see the words "trainwreck" all over this AP article?
LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) – The Fox network has picked up the pilot "Absolutely Fabulous," a U.S. version of the cult British comedy about a neurotic fashion publicist, Edina, and her best friend, Patsy, an outrageous fashion editor, who drive Eddie's sensible teen daughter, Saffron, up the wall with their wild behavior.
Christine Zander wrote the adaptation, which is set in Los Angeles.
Zander is executive producing the pilot with Jennifer Saunders, who wrote the original series and starred as Edina.

PiMC: Episode 90 - 3x, or "Stephanie, Let's Cut To The Chase...."

First we are silly, then we get serious, then we get silly again. Plus, Taffy and Rodan talk about Taylor's balls some more. Sue Ellen, you been drinkin' again? We are Pod Is My Copilot.

Ok, So Say Cheese(y)!

Babaloo and I watching the sunset tonight at Pass-A-Grille Beach.
Yes, we are, but only slightly.  We're still able to function in society....

Ok, So Old Blue Eyes....

Babaloo and I went to Best Buy tonight to look at external hard drives.  Instead, I came home with Sex and the City on Blu-ray, and Seduction: Sinatra Sings Of Love.   It's a fucking amazing compilation. It's 22 Songs, PLUS a ten song bonus disc, PLUS if you get it at Best Buy, you get another 7 songs that are exclusive to the store.  It was on sale today for 16.99, but tomorrow it will be back to 19.99.  But, seriously, 20 bucks for almost 40 Sinatra songs?  And a lot of them are songs I don't already own?  Heck yes.
And I know that Sinatra is usually reserved for the over 50 set, but you have to have love and respect for the classics.  So, you kids get off my lawn!

Ok so...Let the Party (and ridiculous traffic) Begin!

Tampa_super_bowl

Tampa starts it's week long celebration into the seven deadly sins known as Super Bowl Week...
We hosted the Super bowl a few years back, and while seeing celebrities and 1000's of limo's crowding our already crowded bridges is fabulous...The trafic and tourists ( which already out number us this time of year) is staggering.

Don't get me wrong, I love the whole rapid consumerism of it all. I love football and I love debauchery as much as the next girl...but Tampa holds about 20 different strip/fetish bars and 1000's of restaurants whose main menu item's are deep-fried and covered with cheese.

I am concerned for these fan's hearts.

Ok so...Thanks Taylor

Taylor and I had a lovely afternoon at the Kingdom of Magic yesterday (that sounded dirty)
Where he proceeded to make me laugh for 30 minutes over one sentence we overheard.

Story to follow...

Ok, So Cool Playlist for a Soundtrack!!

From Newsarama.com:

March 3rd is the street date set for the release of the both the Original Score and Soundtrack for Warner Bros. highly-anticipated big-screen adaptation of Watchmen, Warner Sunset/Reprise Records announced Thursday. The film is due to open nationwide March 6th.

Music From The Motion Picture Watchmen, the film's official soundtrack, includes My Chemical Romance's reinterpretation of Bob Dylan's "Desolation Row," recorded exclusively for the film. The band's frontman Gerard Way is well-known to comic book readers as the creator of the popular Dark Horse Comics title Umbrella Academy. The soundtrack also features a collection of classic songs by such artists as Nat King Cole, Simon & Garfunkel, and Janis Joplin, which according to the announcement, "once heard in the context of the film, will never be thought of the same way again."

Watchmen Original Motion Picture Score features music by recording artist, composer, and music producer Tyler Bates, who was asked to score the film by Watchmen director Zack Snyder. Tyler, who also scored the Snyder-directed films 300 and Dawn of the Dead, has also scored the soundtracks to The Day the Earth Stood Still, Showtime's Californication, Slither, Rob Zombie's Halloween, and The Devil's Rejects. According to the announcement, he is known for his "surprising juxtapositions of music styles and flair for delicate, atmospheric touches, as well as stressing emotional vibrancy over traditional formulas of music compositions."

Bates has also been chosen to score the Watchmen's DVD added story, "Tales From The Black Freighter."

Both collections will be released in multiple formats – the physical CD and a digital album will be available on March 3rd, and a vinyl edition of the soundtrack will be released on March 17th.

Music From The Motion Picture Watchmen track-listing is as follows:

1. Desolation Row – My Chemical Romance
2. Unforgettable – Nat King Cole
3. The Times They Are A-Changin' – Bob Dylan
4. The Sound Of Silence – Simon & Garfunkel
5. Me & Bobby McGee – Janis Joplin
6. I'm Your Boogie Man – KC & The Sunshine Band
7. You're My Thrill – Billie Holiday
8. Pruit Igoe & Prophecies – The Philip Glass Ensemble
9. Hallelujah – Leonard Cohen
10. All Along The Watchtower – Jimi Hendrix
11. Ride of the Valkyries – Budapest Symphony Orchestra
12. Pirate Jenny – Nina Simone*

Ok, So I Went To Elementary School With The Lead Singer

Ah, the joys of facebook.

Ok, So I Went To Elementary School With The Lead Singer

Ah, the joys of facebook.

Ok Soooooooooo...Thoughts

So as anyone who reads this (or listens) knows, Taylor and I LOVE the Starbucks!!!
Today, I drove through just to notice a "coming soon" sign that read Look for our new sandwiches...

I'm sorry...when did my "coffee house/shop" become a restaurant?  When did my "Grab a drink and sit and listen to pretentious quasi jazz and stare at Taylor" become my "Fast food place to grab a sandwich and chips (which I am sure will come later)"

I am not sure I care for this at all.

Ok, So Subtle.....

Yes, I know every other blog is posting this, but I'm sorry, that hat demands attention.  It needed to be that big to hide the rotisserie chicken she had under it.

Ok, So What Do We Think?

I'm not crazy about it - It reminds me of a bedspread my sister had when she was little.

Ok, So Taylor Shows His Ig'nence for the Day...

We had a president named Chester Arthur?

Heh.  Who knew?

Ok, So The Years Have Not Been Kind To Apollonia...

Anyone else want to put money on the fact that this was the song Taffy and Tank first danced to at their wedding?

It truly is amazing the things you can find online when you are avoiding getting work done, don't you think? The only way this video would be better is if it ended in a cooterslam.

(And yes, I know that's not Apollonia...but wouldn't it be great if it was?)

Ok, So Is That A Nipple?

To quote the Golden Girls, "Isn't that outfit a little young for you?"

Ok, So It's A Cookie Party With Drum!!!!

Thank you to Drum Riley Calhoun, with whom Babaloo and I finally exchanged Christmas presents with the other night.  Not only did he get me The Martha Stewart: Cookies cookbook I had been coveting, but he also got us a cookie batter scoop and a silpat I wanted off my amazon.com wish list!  We got him the latest Barefoot Contessa Cookbook.  So, the plan is to go over to his place and have dinner with Ina and cookies with Martha.

We're such homos.

Ok, So In Two Pictures, I Can Sum Up A Double Date With The Huffingtons...

Thank you to Taffy and Tank for a late evening supper and the musical stylings of the Buster Cooper Trio at the Garden on Friday night.

Ok, So My Grandmother...

We talked about this on the latest episode.  I love this picture of my late grandmother.

Ok, So The Littlest Latteboy...

Age 3
Age 12
Age 14
Age 26, 27 (ish).
I look like I should be practicing for a concert with Barenaked Ladies.

We talk about all the photos I got from my family on the latest episode.  Here are some pictures of me as a kid.

PiMC: Episode 89 - Taylor Has Suze Orman Hair, or BJ Hunnicut Makes Me Wet....

iMovie mayhem, Taylor gets outted (sorta), Taffy gets old (looking) and revisits parting glances from her past, Rodan plans for the big move-in and we talk about stuff that make us cry.

Ok so...Tank and Taylor can finally breathe easy...

Fear not, superhero brethren: 'The Watchmen' will be coming to a theater near you very soon. Warner Bros. and 20th Century Fox settled their nearly yearlong dispute over the movie on Thursday, meaning the film will be released on its intended date, March 6.

Ok, So A Question For Those Of You Who Use GarageBand....

So, the short version is Audacity crapped out on me last night while taping Episode 89, and I decided to be industrious and try Garageband.

Can a fellow podcaster (Melanie?  Ricky?  Michael if he's up and running yet?) who uses multiple tracks when recording a podcast (or a musician who uses Garageband) tell me how to choose multiple tracks for editing (for example, cutting out silence when no one is talking, or when one podcaster is "um" or "err"ing)  I would hate to think I have to go through a show, listen to it once to clean up where people are talking to one another, then go through it and listen to it again to clear out the silences where no one is talking.  All I seem to be able to do is edit silence out one track at a time, and, well, no thank you.

If I can get this figured out, kids, look for better podcasts really soon!

Going to bed defeated...cue poopy music.

Ok, So Happy Birthday, BooBoo!

My best friend from high school turned 36 today and I just got home from taking him out to dinner.  We were going to go to a nice steak house, but he figure that since he was in Orlando for work, could get into Disney for free (me - annual pass, he - you get in for free on your birthday now), and we had a couple of hours to kill, we would hit EPCOT, grab a quick bite (Chinese) and watch the Illuminations show (not impressed.)  Ain't he a cutie?  And yes, boys, he's single!  (and yes, I said, boys!)

He has become a big fan of the show over the last few months, so I think it only fitting that I wish him a happy birthday over here on the blog!  So, hope you had a Happy Birthday, you big 'mo!

Ok, So Um....No.

Who the fuck told her THIS was a good idea!??....Poor Whitney.  That skirt makes her cooch look like a black hole, pulling and wrinkling all fabric that comes near it.  And the pendulum certainly swings the other way when you look at the previous year's winner....
This picture makes me sad for a myriad of reasons...not the least of which someone skinned and bleached a muppet to make her dress.....

Ok so...Remember when??? Yeah, Me neither...But I wish I did.

Remember when women used to dress up...you know to do things like...oh I don't know, Go out in Public??  Someone please tell me when grown women got so lazy that they can no longer get up and out of their pj's to shop or EAT??? Met a friend for a bite today and their was a women sitting in a booth...eating a steak IN HER PJ'S!
Now...I know what you're thinking..."Taffy she could have just got our of the Hospital/Insane Asylum/24 hour Pajama Chronicles"...However, after artfully (i.e crinking my neck to hear them) listening to them talk, she just simply said "I just didn't feel like doing anything to myself today"
Then here's a thought...STAY HOME!   This has been a public service announcement.

Ok, So Again, The Last Line Of The Whole Thing Is What Sent Babaloo and I Over The Edge....

Ok, So Apparently, I'm Emo Taylor (With A Bit of Metal Thrown In For Good Measure...)

So, I have started working out again. I know, I know. But this also means I get to buy myself a song a day from iTunes as a little treat. I am finding my selections over the last three days (I started on Saturday) kinda surprising. Well, two of them anyway.

On Saturday, I bought a song that I had on a cassingle (anyone remember those?) back in High School (I think - it may have been freshman year at college). Anyway, C+C Music Factory had a song on the Buffy The Vampire Slayer Soundtrack (The movie, not the TV show) called Keep It Comin' (Dance 'Til You Can't Dance No More!) This song? Classic Taylor.
But that's where the expected ends....
As we talked about on the latest episode (out now!!), I have been playing Guitar Hero: World Tour and found some songs I really like. For example - Tokio Hotel is a group that some of the teens I work with talk about. The lead singer is the prettiest ugly person I think I've ever seen...and I am SO growing my hair out like this...

At least the drummer's cute.
But it gets weirder.
The next song I picked is Lacuna Coil's "Our Truth." On the game you play the song on Ozzfest, for God's sake!
I'm sure my next song will be either something from Gwar or Elaine Stritch...which do you think I should opt for?

Ok, So Taffy's Worst Nightmare.....

PiMC: Episode 88 - Why, Look, It Has A Mango..., or A Hair Under 700 Pounds

We're back! Lots of catching up to do with the hosts talking about balls, The holidays, video games, Taffy's foot, Taylor's Christmas Crisis, Rodan tries to sneak in an announcement, and we talk about the future of Pod Is My Copilot (Don't worry, we aren't going anywhere...and yes all three of us are staying.) Ok, So The Muffins Have Been Tasted.....

...and Babaloo approves!  They are AWESOME!! (And yes, this is a different picture of them.)

Ok, So Taylor ALSO Made Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins Tonight!!!

From Bison Girl Cooks!

These are so easy.

What you need:
1 - 15 oz can of un-spiced pumpkin (or the equivalent of fresh pureed pumpkin)
1 box of spice cake mix
3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Compine pumpkin and spice cake mix in bowl (do NOT add anything else ... no eggs, no milk, no oil). Mix the pumpkin and spice cake mix together. Add chocolate chips. mix. Spoon into muffin tin (I use liners). Makes 12 muffins.

Bake for 15-20 minutes at 350.

eat.

Ok, Taylor's First Roast Chicken (via The Barefoot Contessa)

Before....
...and after!  I also made mashed potatoes tonight, with a secret ingredient! Can you guess what it is?  (It's not garlic, and no, Taffy, it's not anything dirty.) I have taste tested the potatoes and they are AWESOME!  Just waiting for the chicken to cool a bit and it is DINNERTIME!!!

Ok, So The Definition of Pathetic?

Apparently, they've grown bored of me....

Ok, So Cleanup On Aisle 5 (NSFW - I mean REALLY NSFW)

Think her dad's proud of her?

More....ahem, classy...stuff like this at Sorry, Ricky, named after our favorite Lakeland based podcaster (who is finally back with a new Foul Monkeys!!!)
