Ok, So If I'm Giving You My Money....

...then please have the decency to greet me.

I was at the Target today, buying two polo shirts, swedish fish and the new Vanessa Williams CD (of course I was...), when I brought my items to the check out line. Kristen was about 17, long stringy blond hair, weighed about 14 pounds wet, looked at me, looked at my items, then started scanning them. I gave her about 10 seconds before I said, "HI! HOW ARE YOU!?!"

I think she may have pooped her pants a little.

I will say this, she sure as hell said "Have a nice day!" to me when I left :)

Hello, it's Target and not Neiman Marcus.

You get what you pay for, Missy.

Honestly, I don't care if I'm buying a 99 cent double cheeseburger. I am more inclined to spend my money places where I am greeted and treated kindly. I have also been known to say that I will no longer go to certain places after being treated rudely or unprofessionally. Why would I reward a business with my money if I know I was going to get attitude when I walked in the door? I'd rather spend a little extra money on the place where I know that people show they appreciate my business.

Taylor, I agree with you. I have seen worse. Ron, I think you were missing the point here. It does not matter which stores you are going to, customers should be treated with courtesy and appreciation.

I'm more concerned with whether or not the person who created this motivational poster/meme can count...

I don't think the kids understand the job market and the whole aspect of "owning" your job. My motto is "if you are there, then BE THERE and do your job and do it WELL."
