Ok so...Torn

Ok so...we at Pod is My Copilot have not yet decided to tell you who to vote for...however...as I've mentioned before...I've become terribly addicted to MSNBC.

Yesterday, as many of you have probably heard or read, one of their reporters claimed that the Clinton Campaign was 'pimping out' Chelsea Clinton. The remark was unfortunate to say the least, however, I am not sure that it was meant as a sexist comment but rather a exploitive comment.

Certainly 'Pimp my ride' hasn't been deemed sexist. I've attached a video clip of the initial remark and Keith Olberman apologizing for David Shuster's comment.

My initial reaction is that the Clinton campaign has over reacted to this mis-step. They have threatened to boycott MSNBC and any future debates involving MSNBC.

The democratic fight is reaching a fervor and I think if the campaign really wanted to resolve this situation and not just create a bigger soundbite, they would have addressed it on the air with MSNBC and had an open discussion about how it was insult to Chelsea.

What are your thoughts? Am I wrong...was this the ultimate insult or is the campaign seizing the moment to create a soundbite for the primaries this weekend.

One last note...Bill is actually in Monroe as I type this...at the BOE corporate hanger for a Hillary rally...Monroe...yes...Bill Clinton is in Monroe. Weird. The BOE actually sent out a note to all of us today saying that the appearance does not constitute an endorsement for any candidate or any political party...but urged us to vote this weekend in the Louisiana primary (or is it a Caucus here?)

No. I don't think they are overreacting. The comment was about their daughter. Pretty low if you ask me.

Young David has been nothing but a "B-Rock" cheerleader for several months. My two cents, he is a jackass who needed that high horse killed long ago. Now I am sure he is a sweet little Jewish boy so maybe his mama got on a plane in Nashville and went to DC to jerk a knot in his tail. Would love to be a fly on the wall when they go to Temple this weekend.

P.S. Am I the only one who thinks that MSNBC's Mika and Joe in the morning are sleeping together. They are aweful "close" now. Just saying.

Ok so...the thought of them sleeping together makes me vomit a little...

Actually I get the impression that if Mika could have Joe taken out she would...she would change that show to 'Morning Mika' in about 3 seconds.

I do like their 'happy chat' is more heated than most...

What does that mean?

Thanks!

I'm late to this (as always) but I don't think it was overreacting.
The media has had all guns blazing for Clinton. Nothing she does is right. When Bill wasn't campaigning for her, it was all, "why isn't he? Do they HATE EACH OTHER!?!?! LOLZ!" When he does campaign, it's, "he's inappropriate and stealing her spotlight!"
No one accuses Obama of pimping out his wife when she goes to speak for him.
At this point, I'm sure Obama has the nomination (and I hate that, yes I do) but Clinton has suffered more slings and arrows and to still be standing is proof of a remarkable woman we'll not have the chance to put into highest office.
Obama's going to crumble like a little kindergartener once Karl Rove signs on to team McCain.
