Ok, so ehh....

So I have figured out how to make City of Hereoes to work on Vista. It took some fiddling with the options and playing it in Window Mode vs. it taking up the whole screen, but it's playable.

That being said, I think I am saying goodbye Paragon City for a while again.

I am just not enjoying playing like I used to. Part of that may be the choppy graphics, part of it may be that many of the people I used to play with don't seem to play anymore. Plus trying to have any other program up while playing (like Skype) seems to fuck with the game so that it becomes more frustrating than entertaining. Add to that the PS2 and the Wii (and an Xbox I don't even have set up...), the podcast (which I enjoy doing even more than CoH) and the million things around here that will keep me busy, and I'm thinkin that CoH gotta go.

Plus this weekend is a Double XP weekend, and I barely even care. There was a time that I wouldn't have slept for 48 hours, trying to get all my characters leveled up.

I think that I was able to get the game to play is what has cured the anger I had about not being able to play once I got VISTA. I was able to figure out what to do (With big help from Michael and Mr. Bee - thanks, fellas.), and now that I know that I have the option vs. having the decision made for me, it makes it a lot easier for me to walk away. Marvel and DC both have MMORPGs coming out in the future, and I am sure they will be VISTA ready. And maybe the day will come where CoH has the drivers available for VISTA, and it will make for a more enjoyable gaming experience.

And there's always porn if I get bored.....

Porn indeed

I played World of Warcraft and got bored of it too. I was way into it for a time, but something about MMORPG's get to me after a while. I don't have many friends who play them, so maybe it's the whole having to deal with the online gaming community thing, where people can kinda be assholes.

But congrats on figuring out Vista! New Windows versions can be tricky with older software. I'm just hoping nothing significant changes in Mac software/hardware so I don't have to invest in anything new...
