Ok so...We're KUNTRY Y'ALL

Ok so...not a single Delta flight over the last 2 days has been on time. Grrr.

After 2 days of either flying or interviewing...I'm back home...and all I can say is...umm...ok.

The job itself is very interesting...and something that I would love. However, Monroe (pronouced MUNN row)...is well...in the middle of nowhere (Pronouced where the #$%%^ are we?).

Here is my schedule from 4:00pm Thursday until 1am Saturday morning:

4pm Thur - Leave for Airport
2am Fri - Check in to the 'MUNN row' Courtyard Marriott
6am Fri - Rise and what the $%$%^& time is it?
8am Fri - Visit CVS for mouthwash and toothpaste - I always forget the travel toothpaste
8:30am Fri - Check in to the company corporate headquarters..located as the CVS folks said "after the hospital, the VA home - where all those heroes live, 2 churches and some cows make a right"
9am Fri - Interviews begin with the VP of Marketing
9:30 Fri - Interview with CIO (who knows my old boss...and has a lot of respect for him...woohoo)
10:30 Fri - Interview with VP of Tech Services
11:30 Fri - "Break" - return phone calls from the recruiters who propositioned me for the position. / Fill out company job application, background check and drug screen auths
12:00 Fri - "Lunch" with the VP of Customer Service...think of it as the 'chewing interview'
1pm Fri - Interview with back office Manager...'okay y'all I don't understand much, sked u lin' is con Fusin'.
2pm Fri - Interview with Site Manager of the 'MUNN row' call center
3pm Fri - Interview with the Director of Customer Service via phone - very sweet.
4pm Fri - Leave for Airport
5pm Fri - Meet with HR VP at the Airport for a drink and discussions
6pm Fri - Board flight that was supposed to leave at 5:40pm
1am Sat - Arrive Home.

The 'MUNN row' airport...think the airport from Wings...is also a place for local farmers to hang out to get some AC after working their land.

Unfortunately being unemployed for 5 weeks will mean that I will have very few options in the near future if I expect to keep paying those bill thingies and it is very likely that this organization will make me an offer in the near future. In fact they had started calling my references about mid-day after I had interviewed with the IT Vice President, CIO, VP of Marketing and VP of Customer Service...so I could be deemed 'The Final Candidate" by early next week.

If I become the 'Final Candidate' then we will begin negotiations...salary, bonus structure, benefits, relocation package...the last probably being one of the most important in the decision. If I work it correctly I could get temp housing for a month or two for free and a cash payout to assist with moving expenses, closing costs, incidentals. I may also be able to get job search assistance for the sprout.

So now sprout and I need to figure out if this is something we want or not...=-I

Wish me luck Y'all! Rodan needs a J O B
