So, I have completed a big family project over the last few days. I have scanned over a 1000 pictures that were in my Grandmother's home so that I can provide each of the family copy of all of them via DVD-R. Some of the pictures were over 100 years old and I really feel honored that my family let me have the opportunity to preserve our family history in some small way.
There will be lots of pictures that I will probably be posting over the next few weeks, but I wanted to share one of my favorite pictures that I had is of my Uncle Johnny. He's, well, 4, in a beret, playing with ducks. It looks like something out of a French film.
It's important to note that the boy in this picture eventually grew up to work vice in a major metropolitan city.

Very cool! I'm the keeper of those family photos in my family too and one day my goal is to scan them all in. I have several generations worth.. seems overwhelming but I need to do it. I worry about the house burning to the ground and having to try and save the children AND the photos LOL
