Ok, So Naturally, Otis Hates It....

So, we bought the Pedi-Paws home nail clipping device over the weekend, and I figured I would try it out tonight to see how it do! Upon reading the instructions, I am wondering if I actually bought a sex toy. Apparently, tonight I was supposed to only show the dogs the apparatus (which, yes, Taffy, looks like a vibrator/butt plug) and have a treat ready. You turn the device on, then call the dog over to you to get their treat. Rocco sniffed at it, got his treat (albeit cautiously) and scampered off. Otis, on the other hand, jumped back and would not come anywhere near me at first to get his treat. He did eventually make the effort and got his treat, but didn't seem too thrilled with it.

Now, upon reading the instructions, they very much read like a manual for a dominatrix. Words are highlighted in bright blue like "HOLD THEM DOWN," "DON'T LET THEM GO," and "YOU ARE IN CONTROL." I get what they are saying as far as showing the dog that everything will be ok and that the device doesn't (allegedly) hurt, but you know there is going to be someone who is going to take the "you are in control" thing too far and out of frustration, shove the Pedi-Paws up their Lhapso Apso's ass. And then no one wins....well, unless you're a gay Lhapso Apso, but I digress.
