I talked about emusic.com a while back, and having had a stressful day (more on THAT on the next show) and having already paid my monthly ten bucks, I decided I would get myself a little digital happy...and not the porn kind...
Anywho, I got the following CDs and/or singles tonight. Feel free to make fun of me if you like....

You gotta appreciate the irony of Tina Turner singing "Stand By Your Man." It's very Honky-Tonk, which is NOT my type of music, but it's Tina Turner, who very much IS...I didn't know this album existed... Plus if you look closely at the album art - it's a freakin' K-tel record!!!

The Hives and Cyndi Lauper sing the white-trashiest Christmas song ever, "A Christmas Duel." Cyndi actually sings the lyrics, "I went down on your mother." Charming. It's Rock-a-billy, so I think the Taffy may actually like this one.

Virgin Voices: A Tribute To Madonna is mostly House and Industrial versions of Madonna songs, going up to Ray of Light - it's very 80s and 90s. Front Line Assembly doing a cover of Justify My Love? Babaloo should be surprised he's still fully dressed...

I bought the single "Rise" from Herb Alpert. I always kinda liked this song, though it reminds me of a straight couple alone on a dance floor in 1978, slow fucking and coked out of their minds. Well....that's a happy thought....

I love me some Vanessa Williams - I have her first Xmas album,
Star Bright, and listen to it constantly around the holidays. This is just a repackaging of her second Xmas album, which I hadn't gotten...until now. Vanessa Williams singing "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas?" I can't talk about it......
Looks like I have some new music to listen to when I am not catching up on podcasts this weekend! What do you all think?? Head over to emusic and let me know what I should consider getting next month!!
