This was in my backyard tonight, post rain, as I was taking out the trash. He is on my key lime tree (bush) that, to date, has grown one fucking lime.

kill it! those things can eat that whole tree in a matters of hours.
Yes, KILL IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They will eat anything and multiple like crazy. You do not want these things to get comfortable.
