Ok so...My first cousin did this (sorta) with a cat...

Beth and Brian Willis' two dogs have bit the dust, but their pooches will always have a place near their hearts. Beth and Brian had their dogs' hair turned into sweaters. I've seen this shit on TV. You collect the hair your dogs shed and keep it in a safe place. You take the hair to some bitch who will make whatever you want out of it. I would probably have a pair of panties made. Well, my dog is always smelling my crotch. Too much information...

Mrs. Willis said, "It is not actually a hair but a wool, which is why it is so good for clothes. It would just fall off the dogs and I would run a wet hand over the carpet and pick it up. We found out from the breeders we got the pups from that it was possible to use their coat for clothes. Apparently it is quite popular with lots of the people who breed long-haired dogs." Popular among the insane!

The Willis' had the sweaters made before their two dogs passed away. Mrs. Willis says she wears hers all the time.

For the love of dog! I'm sorry, but any garment that I have to flea-dip regularly is not going anywhere near my body.

(from D-listed)

Actually, my cousins cat was not big enough for a coat, so she made a stuffed animal for her husband. And tragically...I am not kidding...

Someone call Shady Pines because you got to be batshitcrazy to wear your pets fur. That makes Chris March's hair trimmed dresses look tame.

Actually, dog hair isn't the best fiber in the world for any sort of knitting/crochet project -- you usually have to add a certain amount of sheep's wool to it in order to get it to spin up properly. And it does tend to smell a bit.

What? I knit, so I hear about stuff like this.

Hey!

I have two Greyhounds (yes...adopted from the track) who love to leave hair on my clothes, my sofa, all around my house. I sometimes look like my dogs. Thank God for those sticky lint removing brushes!

I'll keep my Greyhounds...but not as coats!

Your Nashville Friend,

Thom

Would never have known the white one was anything but angora, but the other looks like a halloween costume gone wrong OR the definitely not correct thought that went through my head..The furries called and said they wanted the top part of their bear suit back.
