Ok, So I SOOOO Should Have Kept My Mouth Shut...

It's rare I get to tell one of these....

Today at the Starbucks, I met Taffy (because, you know, it was a day that ended in Y), and we got talking about the play QCast's Kevin is going to be directing is going to be opening soon, and how we want to go, blah blah blah. She mentions that the poster is up on Kevin's myspace page, and what it looks like, a child's drawing. I mention that makes sense because the play is about abortion.

And Taffy gets this dumbfounded look on her face, a look I may add she RARELY gets.

"THAT'S what it's about??!"

When I explain to her that yes, that is what it's about, and how Cynthia Nixon won a Tony for it on Broadway (I think - am I right? Anyone? Anyone?) She informs me that she thought, given the artwork for the show and Kevin's great sense of humor that it was a play with puppets, like Avenue Q.

WHY did I not just play along and bring her to the show? The look on her face at the play would have been PRICELESS. I'll have to remember to tell her "The Diary of Anne Frank" is a coming of age story set to music with numbers by mice sewing a dress for Anne so she can go to the Auschwitz Ball.

(edit: I was wrong, too :) The play, according to Wikipedia is about the following: The play focuses on a couple, Becca and Howie, trying to cope with a terrible loss while Becca’s well-meaning mom and off-kilter sister attempt to lift their spirits, each in her own inimitable way.
Either way, it would have been funny to see her face.)
