Ok so...$29M

Okay so...how in the world did a Concert Tour movie make $29M in it's opening weekend...



...I think the tweens may be taking over the universe...eek

Box Office Report has been updated with studio estimates for the weekend. Be sure to check back on Monday for final figures based on actual box office.Disney's Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour opened with a massive $29 million from just 683 theaters setting a new record for the Super Bowl weekend previously held by When a Stranger Calls, which opened to $21.6 million two years ago. The 3-D concert movie, shot during Cyrus's 54-city sold-out tour, averaged a record-breaking $42,460 per theater. Ticket sales were boosted by the higher admission price, which were in most cases as much as $15.

Opening in second place, Jessica Alba's supernatural thriller
The Eye earned an estimated $13 million from 2,436 theaters. The Lionsgate release averaged $5,336 per site.

Fox's
27 Dresses remained in the third spot, adding $8.4 million in its third weekend. Budgeted at $30 million, Katherine Heigl's romantic comedy has reached $57.1 million.

Fox Searchlight's
Juno moved up three spots to fourth with $7.5 million. The critical hit has collected an impressive $110.3 million in nine weeks.

Last week's champ, spoof comedy
Meet the Spartans dropped four spots to make $7.1 million in fifth place. The film is up to $28.3 million after two weeks.

Lionsgate's
Rambo also dropped four spots to sixth with $7 million for a two-week total of $29.8 million.

Moviegoers didn't pay much attention to the other two newcomers, Eva Longoria's
Over Her Dead Body and comedy Strange Wilderness. The former made $4.6 million from 1,977 theaters, while the latter made $3.1 million from 1,208 theaters.Click here for the full box office estimates of the top 12 films
