...and the drama has already started.
First and foremost, the ride was, in many ways relaxing, at least until I hit DC, then it was a nightmare, as it always seems to be. Add to that TWO times in which I almost peed myself looking for a rest room, and one very unfortunate experience at a McDonald's, and I was exhausted. The whole ride took about 17.5 hours, but if you shave off times where I got out of the car for breaks, gas, and stopped to eat, you are probably looking more at 16 hours or so, which is great time. And, because I was thinking of all of you, I video blogged the whole way up here. More on how to see those videos a little later on.
Anyway, I thought I was only going to be at my Dad's for the morning, but apparently, he is expecting me to stay for the day. In fact, he was thinking I would be here for a couple of days before heading up to see my mom. I am staying for dinner and then leaving to head up to Jersey. Just talked to my sister on the phone - it appears all is ok, but apparently my dad called my sister before I got a chance to and told her that....ah, who cares, it's family drama, we all have it.....
I will post as much as I can when I am home. Probably not going to have many fancy pictures for these posts, but it'll have to do for now! Talk to you all later on

Ooooh a video blog!! I can't wait. LOL!
Glad you made it. Your puglets are doing fine. They are letting me sleep this time, so we might make it through the week.
I love the videos!
I am glad you got there in one piece!
XO
Oh my goodness - 17.5 hours driving, poor baby - you really live in a great country!
If I would do this I would have passed the same gas station about 25 times or so and circumnavigated all of the entire islands again and again :)
I really enjoyed your road videos. Very interesting and funny. You don´t look shabby at all, rather cool and cute :=)
I am glad that you have internet access so we can stay in touch. Enjoy your vacation dear

Taylor,
I'm so very glad that you made it safe and sound. I had been thinking of you when you were driving and was wondering how you were faring. Thanks for taking us along for the ride!
Your Nashville Friend,
Thom
