So, I am completely immersed in my PS2 yesterday and today, catching up on Kingdom Hearts 2. I was a HUUUUUGE fan of the first Kingdom Hearts game back in 2001, so when the sequel came out in 2005, I bought it the day it came out. I played it for about 8 hours, and put it away, where it collected dust for the last 2+ years. Last week, I was looking for something to do (i.e. distract myself from getting shit done around here), and decided to pop the game back in. I just started over from the beginning, figuring it had been so long I had forgotten important story points.Let me just tell you one thing. When a game takes THREE HOURS of gameplay just to get to the TITLE screen, you know you are in for an indepth game.
For those of you not in the know, KH and KH2 are games that are a joint venture between Square Ennix (makers of the Final Fantasy games) and Disney. The short, least confusing explanation of the game is as such: You are a young boy, Sora, who, along with Donald Duck and Goofy, have to run through all the Disney worlds (Agrabah, 100 Acre Woods, The Beast's Castle, Atlantica, etc.) looking for items that will help you to find King Mickey and Kairi, who is Sora's love. KH2 expanded on the places you go, including not only newer animated movies (Mulan), but also some of the live action movies, including Pirates of the Carribean and Tron. There is even a segment where you go back to be in 1929's Steamboat Willy, and the whole part of the game is in black and white, with grainy sound for effect. The whole time you are fighting dark chracters and classic Disney Villians, including Malificent, Hades from Hercules, Shen Hu from Mulan, and Captain Barrbosa from PotC. Just about all of the original actors from the movies do the voices for the characters, and you also have some welll known names doing the voices of the new characters as well, including Hayden Paintierre (or however you spell her name) as Kairi and Hayley Joel Osmet as Sora.
Anyway, that's what I will probably be doing when I am not catching up on notes for the next three days before I head to Philly. Who are you to judge me!?!?

Taylor,
I hope that you know that you cannot attach your keyboard and joystick (no pun intended) to you as you venture through life. If you understand this, then I would beleive that you are fine. If you don't accept this, then there should be some 12 step programs around to help you realize this fact. LOL
I'm glad that you are enjoying life and having fun. We all should have times to play where we use our imagination...sort of like Taffy and Tank in the Jeep playing teenagers...LOL.
Love to you all and have a safe trip, Taylor!
Your Nashville Friend,
Thom
Taylor, another reason why I think we would be BFFs. I bought my PS2 just to have Kingdom hearts and I cried when I beat it.. Yea I'm a dork. When KH2 came out, I got it the day it came out and played for a few days and put it down for 2 years. I beat it about 3 months ago.
If they come out with a 3rd (which I have heard rumors of) I will more than likely buy the PS3 because they will be mean and only make it available for that system.
Holy Crap, Nessa, I kinda remember doing the same thing (the crying at the end of KH1. I was so sad it was over)
I'm following the worlds in the order of the strategy guide, and am about halfway through Lion King's world right now - not caring for the really fast moving, in all honesty.
Oh, and Taffy, I am already aware of my being a dork.
