.....aaaaaaaaaand I'm off!I just dropped off the puglets at Drum's house, I loaded up the car, and I made myself a PBnJ for a little snack before bedtime. I am going to try and get some rest before I hit the road tomorrow in search of my family (well, not searching for them, because I know where they live, but I mean...well, you know what I mean, I think....forget it.) The only things not in the car at this time are my pillows (something that never bothered me to not have with me til I started traveling with Drum - now I freak out if I forget them) and my iPod, because I wanted to make sure I got every last drop of podcasting goodness out of my computer for the trek tomorrow.
For those keeping score (and needing proof of what a dork I am), I have the following podcasts in my iPod to listen to:
PNS Explosion - 8
Attack Of The Show: Fresh Ink - 14
Attack Of The Show: Around The Net - 26
The Ben And Dave Show - 8
Best Of YouTube - 3
Brini Maxwell: Tips and Hints For A Gracious Life - 5
bTalk - 5
Comedy Central Standup (Video Version) - 6
Confessions Of A Southern Boy In Yankee Land - 5
The Daily Purge - 3
Defunct: A Gay Nerd's Life In NYC - 14
Drink Til We're Funny - 1 (which makes me kinda sad...1...really?)
Electric Playground - 68
Foul Monkeys - 2
Goodnight Burbank - 1
Happy Slip on iTunes - 40
Happy Tree Friends - 4
How Much Do We Love? - 2
iFanboy - 5
iFanboy (Video) - 4
It's Not Us, It's You - 6
NPR: Pop Culture - 3
NPR: Wait, Wait...Don't Tell Me - 3
Oh My Pod! - 7
Onion News Network (video)10
The Onion Radio News - 27
Pod Is My Copilot ('natch!) - 6
QCast Connection - 4
Ramble Redhead - 7
SModcast - 2
Terminally Single - 17
There Are Some Who Call Me Tim - 1
This American Life - 4
Video: Wisecrack - 3
X-Play's Daily Video Podcast - 28
Bringing the grand total to.......354 podcasts.
Now, I know that number may seem ridiculous, but a lot of them (in purple) are video podcasts that are maybe 2-3 minutes in length, so, considering my family all goes to bed super early, I will have something to look at while laying in bed. Secondly, the Onion Radio News episodes I have are, on average 45 seconds long, so that should take next to no time to fly through them on my iPod.
And, again - 18 to 20 hours in a car.
BOTH WAYS.
I have given consideration to blogging while on the road when I stop for breaks, or while driving in video format and posting them on our YouTube site for during the week. I am not sure yet if that is going to happen. Depends on how the drive is going. But I will be sure to let you all know when I get in.CANNONBALL!!!!!

Your Nashville Friend,
Thom
PS-Say Hi to New Jersey for me!
Have a safe drive! You listen to a lot of podcasts. jeeeez. PNS- for reals, soooo good. I had to excuse myself from the cubicle a couple of times.
I too am not happy about Drink 'Til We're Funny. I get the feeling that the podcast just isn't important to them anymore. However, there's some great stuff in there for you to listen to, so have a blast!!!!!
Safe drive baby! I want some really good christmas with family stories when you get back!
We just uploaded a new episode (106), so you may have to re-sync before you go! :-)
Have a safe trip and looking forward to getting together when you get back!
Taylor - hope the trip goes well and honored to see my show on the list - yours is always on my weekly list and I am always happy when I see a new show on the list. When I am on the road I listen to 6-8 shows a day if not more and enjoy the wonderful world of podcasting!
Be safe and try not to let the family stress you out!
This is what I'll be doing when I fly down to Florida (WHY are we passing each other on the road and in the air? HUH!?!?). I love catching up on my podcasties!
Just don't listen to all 5 of me at once. God, that would suck. Even I can't listen to myself that long.
