I certainly encourage anyone who needs to loose weight, to loose it in a way that is best for them, I however do not thing that Gastric Bypass is the awnser for me, nor would I encourage anyone close to me to have it. I have two friends who have both had it and their weight has come back. Only now they have 1/2 a stomach. The people I know who have lost weight on things such as Weight Watchers have gained the weight they lost back as well, only they still have all organs in tact.
I have lost this weight due to a highly restricted diet and exercise five times a week. And I am sure that if I start back to my old habits, that I will gain the weight back. There is a eating plan for everyone, and I personaly feel that surgery is not the way. That is my opinion.

The first poster may have had the surgery and it failed, that may be why he is so hostile. My Aunt had gastric four years ago, and then had to have it AGAIN last May. I think it is a very dangerous procedure that I would not advise to anyone. Weight loss is hard enough without recovery and dissapointment.

I think she said she was not that stupid, not that the people who have it were stupid. It's a personal choice. I myself, choose to be fat :)

Wow, start talking about weight and everyone gets defensive. I am sure that plenty of people have had great results because of that surgery. And I am sure that plenty of people wish that they had never had it. I have no will power, so anyone who has lost any amount of weight is a hero to me!

Mr. Bee deleted the comment. Too bad.
I believe he was making a point about Taffy's comment being a harsh judgement. Go back and listen. "surgery or anything stupid like that"
Big difference between judgement and opinion. That was a judgement on her part.

Hey - Yes I did delete the comment. It was obviously causing some problems where it was not intended. I did use a smiley face on the comment. So I apologize for any problems I may have caused.

The first comment read that she had lost 65 pounds in four months and that that was stupid. Isn't that passing judgement?

Star Jones? Al Roker?

Leave Brittany Alone!

I can't believe one sentence out of the whole podcast is getting this much attention. The rest of it was very funny! Move on people!
