So, as I had mentioned on the latest episode, I was going through Drum's CD Collection this week, and downloading tracks/albums I wanted onto my computer. One CD that I had totally forgotten about was Cyndi Lauper's Twelve Deadly Cyns....And Then Some," her Greatest Hits Compilation. My favorite song on the album is the one song that I had not heard of before, a song she had done with her first group Blue Angel called "I'm Gonna Be Strong," It's just one of those beautiful songs that shows what a powerful and amazing voice she has. I know she's know for the kitchy stuff, but her "At Last" CD is another amazing showcase for her.
Anywho, here is a live version of "I'm Gonna Be Strong" For some reason this video makes me tear up juuuuuust a little bit. The best part of this video is at 2:11, but please watch the whole thing - it builds to it, and you won't get the whole effect if you fast forward to it (Taffy, I'm looking at you.) And about 10 seconds into the video, it goes black for a second - it comes back, don't worry.

aw! love cyndi. i got to see her at jannus landing. she played a recorder at one point during the show. really.
