For those of you unaware...I'm here in lovely Louisiana to interview for a job with a Fortune 1000 telecom company. WooHoo!
The flight however...was horrible...first the leg from West Palm Beach to Atlanta was over-booked and we were squeezed in like sardines...and I got the hump seat...and I couldn't get an exit row...but thankfully I've lost enough weight that it wasn't so bad. I survived...and no injuries. =-)
Then the layover in Atlanta was extended for 30 minutes...
Then I had to board an itty bitty little jet...it was liliputian
I think my old 1979 Mercury Cougar was bigger
Although mine was yellow...the banana boat...heehee
and then I got to meet a celebrity...well...kinda
Rodney Alexander...the Republican Congressman from the great state of Louisiana
He was really nice...and gave me some interview tips...I should have pushed gay rights...but I was tired...and I was studying for my interview.
AND THEN -
The piliot couldn't see the landing strip in Monroe...so we circled...for over and hour...had to divert to Shreveport (about 2 hrs drive from Monroe)...when we landed they wouldn't let us off the plane...they refueled and sent us back to Monroe...apparently they woke up someone to turn on the landing strip lights.
AND THEN -
Because we were so late...and Monroe is so small...none of the car rental shops were open...eventually some guy from Hertz showed up...or at least I think he was from Hertz...he took my Credit card and gave me Keys...that was good enough for me.
AND THEN -
I got lost on the way to the Hotel...because I was stupid and didn't print out directions..everyone kept saying..."YOU CAN'T MISS IT"...apparently they don't know me.
So now...i'm in the room and the internet is free...and I need to get some beauty sleep...wish me well!

have you ever heard the expression "Bad rehersal, great preformence" Well, Your trip was crap, which means your interview will rock!! Good Luck!
