So I just finished the "Pocket" volume of Strangers in Paradise by Terry Moore. at 344 pages, I figured I would save it for my weekend getaway, but it has been staring at me since I bought it on Free Comic Book Day on my night stand, so a few nights ago, I figured I would let myself read the first 20 pages....I'll be getting Vol 2 when I pick up my books this Wednesday.
It was an amazing story about two friends in Houston, TX. No superpowers, no capes. Just two (semi) normal girls, one with a mysterious past who live together and are a couple in every aspect of the word. There's mystery, comedy, romance....it's just a great book - something I would recommend to a non comic reader, most definitely. (That would be you, Taffy....)
Anyway, I give Strangers in Paradise a thumbs up!
