Ok, so I am no longer...um,. defeated?

So I bought a new computer last night - an HP tower at the Buy of Best. It's a basic computer - good ram, great memory.'

And Windows Vista.

um, yeah, aren't things supposed to be EASIER with updates to Windows?? Lots of computer pop windows, lots of weird new things it can do (the scrolling through all the screens thing kinda freaks me out, while pretty....) and worst of all....

I CAN'T PLAY CITY OF HEROES ON IT!!! I spent 5 hours last night downloading the game and all the updates to the game, and when I go to play it, 1.) I don't have a cursor, and 2.) the main screen is black and white, but all the windows and fonts and powers have color to them (which, admittedly, is a cool effect...) According to Rodan, who researched for me last night, CoH will be supported by Vista "soon." But CoH is the main reason that I didn't buy a Mac last night....now with that out of the equation....but then I would have to learn a whole new OS, so.....I....ugh...

I will say this for the computer - it is whisper silent. No more jet planes taking off. I have not tried to transfer stuff from the new computer yet, I want to make sure I want to keep this computer before I do that, so please be patient on episode 9. I have skype up and running, and am going to download the stuff we need to tape the podcast later today. I think. If I'm keeping it....I don't know....
