
Now...this isn't necessarily a rejection. The company (I never did learn who the position was with) had already selected a candidate and was in the process of vetting them before making an offer when I was approached. The recruiter did explain this to me up front...and wanted to have a qualified candidate in the pipeline should the primary candidate fall out. So I'm not taking this as a rejection...well...trying not too...
It is interesting...I am noticing that a company will only allow 1 or 2 Director-level candidates to be in the pipeline at a time. I am assuming because I have to interview with VPs and above...they don't want to waste time going through dozens of candidates. =-(
Oh well...I'm interviewing in Louisiana on Friday...so we will see. *Fingers Crossed*
