Ok, so where was I?

Ok, so you may have noticed that I didn't post for a couple of days, which is very unusal for me, I know....TRUST me, it wasn't my choice not to. One of my last posts involved me talking about Cellulitis, which is the inflammation of the connecting tissues between skin and muscle. I had it in my leg, from the middle of my shin to about three quarters wrapped around, and about two inches from my foot and maybe four inches from my knee. The shit HURT! I couldn't walk, I had a fever. I went to the doc on Thursday and she was afraid that I may be septic, and told me that if it didn't get better by Friday, that I should head to the ER.
Well, Friday rolled around, and unfortunately, it was worse. I had been up all night with fever/chills, and I was just miserable, prayin for death.
Lucky for me, I was able to be seen right away at the ER, and after an ultrasound to make sure I didn't have a blood clot, they said I needed IV antibiotics and should stay over night.
It was my first time overnight in a hospital. From the time I walked through the ER til the time I was wheeled out to my friends car was 72 hours. The worst part is that for a majority of that time, once they got the infection somewhat under control, I was feeing fine, so I was BORED out of my mind! You can only watch so much TV, and you can only read through so many magazines. I had visitors and bland food, and lots of little bruises from all the sticks and pokes I would get at all hours of the night (shut up, Taffy.) I was waiting to have a complete psycho RN at one time or another, but she never came. All of the Bayfront staff was amazing. They were all so polite, they were friendly and genuienly seemed to want to help. I never got the feeling that I was just a number or a job to them. So, THANKS BAYFRONT!!!
So, now that I'm back, expect lots of posts! And now that the podcast is well on it's way, expect lots of updates to the website! Woo hoo!
