I am on call this week for work, and last night I got a page at 3am to do what we call "attend a death." Basically, this means I go and support the family at their home while the nurse prepares the body for the funeral home pick up. Well, while I was out there, we got a call that ANOTHER patient had died, and so we went to that one after we were finished with the first one.
It's about 10 of 8 now, and I am in the office. I have to go to see a patient at 11am, and she is a big time smoker and lives in a gross trailer park, so I am just going to wait til that visit is over before going home and showering. Thank God I showered before I went to bed last night after going to the gym.....
I'm so fucking tired....
