OK, so....I went out last night, and after a lovely meal at Ratchada, a favorite sushi/thai place, I ended up at Independent Beer. My first time in the establishment, it was fun. I've never been a bigfan of beer, but I have to say my first experience with a dark german beer called, and forgive me when I spell ths wrong, Franzkenskaner, was very good. It wasn't bitter like the other beers I drank (of course, those beers are American beers that were in cans in college...."Coors light! WOOOOO! Let's play Quarters!"), but rather it was sweet and kept it's flavor even after getting a little warm. So, getting out of my shell a bit, I enjoyed a beer at a smoky (yeah, not all about the cigarette smoke) waterin' hole in downtown St Pete last night. I also lit a cigarette for a girl like the do in the movies. Of course, her eyes were completely dilated and she talked about her Kate Spade bag for about ten minutes, and how I need to try this Persian place in the Icot center. (What do they even serve at a Persian restaurant?) Anyway, thanks to the nice people at Independent Beer for a fun night. Now, the chocolate stout? Not so much......
