Ok, So When I Was A Kid...

I loved this song (granted I was 12 and it was 1984, I think) So, when this came up on my iPod recently, I remembered there was a video to this. Um, apparently they were all still on major drugs because I have no idea what this video is about - if someone could explain it to me, that would be great!
